Marmite Militia, taking over one piece of toast at a time!!!

This station sounds awesome! Jealous of those that can tune in!

I'm not sure about the regional restrictions...but I do know SiriusXM offers an internet only streaming subscription for like $10 or $11 a month!

A steep ask for a couple weeks of GnR radio, but...it's there for those that can take advantage of it.

I haven't been listening for the last 30-40 minutes, any CD tracks? I thought it was odd that they played VR before CD.

Nope. Yesterdays (or maybe 14 years? maybe both?), My Michelle, Something live (off Live Era..but I can't remember what right now).

AC/DC again, now. TNT.

I've had it on, streaming off my PS4, while cleaning up from dinner.

About to hop into my online class so it'll be on (i have earbuds in for class audio) but I won't get much listening done for the rest of tonight....

The song that killed original GNR (until NITL) and sent AXL into hiding for 6 years.  Loved that song though

I remember being utterly confused as to what was happening with gnr when i bought the single! Ah...the days before the internet!

IDK why Sympathy seems to get so much hate. I always thought it was a great cover.

It's not that it's not a great cover. It IS (at least, IMHO).

It's what it meant to the band.  That song is basically GnR's "Let it Be".  So, it gets given short shrift by GnR fans based on that.

I mean, it's not like the song is the REASON the band broke up. It was the straw that broke the camels back, so to speak.  It was a symptom, not the actual disease. But still, it's hard not to listen to it (maybe a little easier, now) and think "That's the sound of my favorite band imploding" as you listen to Paul Tobias play that dueling guitar part....

Not sure how legit it is, but I've been using BugMeNot to gain access and listen to it online.
Played Black Leather and then Duff introduced Rocket Queen.

Sympathy might be a good cover but it can not beat the original by the Stones . I prefer Guns version of KOHD or Since I don't have you comparing to the originals for example, but Sympathy naaaaah. Roll Eyes

OH, I totally agree. Nothing beats the Stones version of that song. It was made for Mick's voice (literally).

But, the dueling guitars part in the Guns version..GAHHHHH...I have a love/hate relationship with it for exactly the reasons outlined previously.  It's such strong work and totally compelling...I could listen to that part over and over again.  And then....I get bummed out. Smiley

I completely agree, when it was released and hit radios in 94-95 I loved that guitar work, it wasn't until the revelations years later that I cringe a little listening to it because of the significance... but I still love the solo.

this station is incredible. just an amazing mix of songs. they put good thought into the non-gnr bands to play. NIN on right now.

my only complaint is that yesterday they cut the last couple minutes of a live version of NR. where the song pauses for a second before the ending (the best part of the song and where Axl just puts everything he has into it and takes the song to a whole other level), they just ended it. really strange. something you might expect from regular radio due to the length of the song.

i'll be listening to this with friends and family on the beach for the next 3 days. just a great station.
