That time of the year again tours are being announced for summer 2018. Post them in here

FOREIGNER Announces 'Juke Box Heroes' U.S. Summer 2018 Tour With WHITESNAKE And JASON BONHAM

FOREIGNER, WHITESNAKE and JASON BONHAM'S LED ZEPPELIN EVENING, are getting into the holiday gift-giving spirit early with the announcement of their 2018 29-city summer "Juke Box Heroes Tour", produced by Live Nation. Nothing warms up the chilly holiday season like the promise of a hot summer tour, and concert tickets make the perfect gift.

The legendary artists will cross the U.S. starting Friday, June 15, 2018 in Bangor, Maine at Darling's Waterfront Pavilion. All three bands are led by Englishmen Mick Jones, David Coverdale and Jason Bonham who are part of the fabric of British rock, and will bring a summer of great music across the country. FOREIGNER's 40th-anniversary tour was one of last summer's best-selling runs.

Tickets for the "Juke Box Heroes Tour" go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, December 8 at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com. Tickets for FOREIGNER VIP packages including meet-and-greets with the band will be available at ForeignerVIP.com.

Citi is the official presale credit card for the "Juke Box Heroes Tour". As such, Citi cardmembers will have access to purchase presale tickets beginning Tuesday, December 5 at 10 a.m. local time until Thursday, December 7 at 10 p.m. local time through Citi's Private Pass program.

"I'm excited to join forces with my fellow U.K. countrymen, David Coverdale and Jason Bonham, for what's sure to be a rockin' summer tour in the States," says FOREIGNER founding member and lead guitarist Mick Jones.

As WHITESNAKE lead singer David Coverdale says, "We are truly excited and looking forward to playing in 2018 with our friends, FOREIGNER and Jason Bonham, on their North American tour."

Says Jason Bonham, "Being part of FOREIGNER's 40th-anniversary tour last summer was wonderful. Opening a show like that was very special to me, so when Mick asked if I'd do it again in 2018, I said yes without hesitation. I'm excited that WHITESNAKE will be filling out the middle slot this time as I've known David since I was 14 years old. It's going to be a WHOLE LOTTA FUN!"

REO / Styx / Felder Ride Again

EO Speedwagon and Styx, along with special guest Don Felder, are picking up where they left off this summer, doing a March-April run (right after REO finishes its winter schedule).

REO and Styx have merged their performances for decades. The two band recorded a live album and DVD in 2000 called Arch Allies: Live at Riverport at Riverport Amphitheatre in Missouri.  In 2009, the bands hit the road together for the ?Can?t Stop Rockin? Tour.?  They did the same thing in 2012 and 2013.

?We played 25-plus shows with our buddies Styx and Don Felder this past summer, and that was just simply not enough,? REO?s Kevin Cronin said in a statement. ?The 2017 tour was too much fun, and there was so many more places to play. So we are gearing back up for a spring 2018 run. When REO and Styx put our energy together the audience is the big winner.?

REO hits the road on its own starting with North Star Mohican Casino Resort in Bowler, Wis., Jan. 12 and plays until Feb. 24 at Heartland Events Center in Grand Island, Neb., Feb. 24 (plus two more shows in April and May).

The package co-headline tour kicks off at Amsoil Arena in Duluth, Minn., March 13 and runs through April 15 when the bands play North Charleston Coliseum in South Carolina.

Presales being at Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public Dec. 8.

Styx?s Tommy Shaw recently spoke to Pollstar about the collaborative touring efforts of the bands, Styx?s recent album The Mission and a whole lot more.

The most recent box office report submitted to Pollstar for REO was a sold-out Sept. 15 show in Peoria, Ill., at Peoria Civic Center Theatre, which grossed $128,358.  Box office reports submitted to Pollstar for Styx show an average gross per show of $142,863.

Pre-sale advantages exist for American Express Card Members, who can begin buying tickets before anyone else on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 10 a.m. local time. For complete information, click here.

I know the final Warped Tour was already announced.  I figure since I went to the first Warped Tour in 1995 I should probably go to the last!  I still remember going.  I had no idea it was a festival until I got there haha.  The show was headlined by L7 and Quicksand, both of who I was really into at the time.  I actually got to see Sublime play.  I had my first taste of NYHC there too with Orange 9MM that featured members of Burn.  It was the catalyst for me getting into the NY/NJ hardcore scene.

I ended up going to 4 Warped Tours I believe, all in Asbury Park, NJ.  I still regret skipping the year that Eminem was headlining.  That was during my "All rap is garbage" phase.  I wish I had seen him there.

The press release is below:

?I have been a very lucky person to have traveled across the country and sometimes around the world as one of the founders and producers of the Vans Warped Tour. Today, with many mixed feelings, I am here to announce that next year will be the final, full cross-country run of the Vans Warped Tour. I sit here reflecting on the tour?s incredible history, what the final run means for our community, and look forward to what?s to come as we commemorate the tour?s historic 25th anniversary in 2019.

In 1995, I had already worked many years in the music business, including spending four summers on the Lollapalooza tour, and I thought, ?for one summer I would like go out and put on my own show? mixing music and action sports. With the support of so many people, I have now spent the last 23 summers bringing that show to a city near you. We have brought that show to over 11 million people around the world and watched that same world change while doing so.

I have been proud to work with so many artists who have grown to be some of the largest stars in the world. Countless bands have played in hot parking lots and through summer storms for you at some point.

Bands like Quicksand, Sublime, L7, No Use for A Name and No Doubt jumped on in the very first year.

Touring many summers with my friends and peers like ? Pennywise, Social Distortion, NOFX, Bad Religion, The Descendents, Less Than Jake, Dropkick Murphy?s, The Bouncing Souls, Rancid, Flogging Molly, Anti-Flag and The Offspring are just some of my fondest memories. More include, having Blink-182 travel on my bus in 1997 when the world opened up to them and made them the superstars they are today.

The Vans Warped Tour was the platform to witness the rise of pop punk with Sum 41, Simple Plan, MXPX, New Found Glory and Good Charlotte.

The birth of Emo ? with bands like Thrice, Thursday, The Used, Taking Back Sunday, The Starting Line, Motion City Soundtrack and Jimmy Eat World.

Fast-forward to the summer in 2005 when TRL and Warped Tour helped launch the careers of Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance and Avenged Sevenfold.

I witnessed Warped alumni like The Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, No Doubt and even Kid Rock play the Super Bowl. I?ve even had the pleasure of seeing Green Day play the Rose Bowl.

More recently, I?ve watched bands start out on a small stage and work their way up to the main stages by meeting as many fans as possible and continuing to hone their craft while on the tour. Bands like Paramore, A Day To Remember, Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce The Veil, Echosmith, Motionless in White, Black Veil Brides, Every Time I Die, Neck Deep, Beartooth and so many more.

What has always made me proud was when I read that Warped was the most diverse show of the summer where you could find Eminem and Ice-T on the same stages as Sevendust, Pennywise, and 7 Seconds.

I am so grateful to have worked with more than 1,700 bands over the last 23 summers. I wish I could thank every band that has played the tour.

The Vans Warped Tour has become the community I had always hoped for. We have worked with over 90 non-profits each summer shining a light on new and growing groups giving our community the resources they need to connect with people who can help them, but also encourages our community to help each other. To Write Love on Her Arms, Music Saves Lives, Feed The Children Now, Keep a Breast, Hope For The Day, Canvas Foundation, Living The Dream and A Voice for the Innocent have built their organizations from the Warped Tour parking lots across the country. This even inspired me to start my own foundation Unite the United.

The work we do each summer on ?give back days? has become part of our DNA. My brain is etched with the image of the church ladies after Katrina serving beans and rice to The Casualties with their upright mohawks, finding a common ground where no one was judging anyone. Then finding out the only working business in the county seemed to be the moonshine still and the locals showing up with a crate to share with the crew later that evening.

The long hot days that ended around a BBQ with food, drink and more music are some of the best times. Enjoying the days off, taking people jet boating, house boating, river rafting and sometimes even skydiving. I witnessed lifelong friendships being made, sparks of romance that led to ?Warped weddings,? and unfortunately now, more notices of passings where a proper good bye was not able to be said.

I want to thank my supportive family who has been through the highs and lows, Darryl Eaton at CAA, Steve Van Doren and Vans, Kate, Julie, Allison and Steph. My hard ass working crew who puts that show up and down each day, the sponsors which without them this tour would not happen, the bands and their crews, the promoters who took a risk on us at the beginning and continue to be supportive.

It will be bittersweet each morning when I see the sun rise and then watch it set knowing that this will be the last time I get to witness it from that exact spot.

Though the tour and the world have changed since ?95, the same feeling of having the ?best summer ever? will live on through the bands, the production teams, and the fans that come through at every stop.

The enduring spirit of the Vans Warped Tour remains as bright as ever, continuing to inspire creativity and ambition in new and exciting ways as we prepare for a 25th anniversary celebration in 2019.

I truly look forward to seeing as many of you as possible during this final cross country run, and getting to thank you for your support on this wild adventure. Until then, take care and be safe.?   ? Kevin Lyman (Founder of the Vans Warped Tour)

Jason Aldean To Saddle Up For 34-City Run

Jason Aldean?s fans have something to celebrate today as the country star announces his ?High Noon Neon Tour? beginning in Kansas City in May.

Aldean won?t be going it alone.  Joining him will be special guests Luke Combs and Lauren Alaina.

?We named this tour after a song that?ll be on my next record,? Aldean said in a statement.  ?It reminds me of the bars I grew up playing in Georgia when I was getting started.  We?re going to bring some of that raw energy out this summer with Luke and Lauren ? I know we?re all ready.?

Mixing amphitheatres with arenas, Aldean?s Live Nation-promoted adventure will hit major markets such as New York, Philadelphia, Dallas and Los Angeles as well as touch down in cities such as Des Moines, Iowa; Bangor, Maine; Charlotte, N.C.; and Peoria, Ill.

Aldean?s 2017 tour was No. 52 on Pollstar?s Year End Top 200 North American Tours chart.  Averaging just under $50 per ticket, Aldean sold an average $12,776 tickets per show and reached a total gross of $25.5 million.  Chart watchers (and they are legion) will be watching to see if Aldean surpasses his 2017 stats.

Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town Plot Co-Headlining Summer 2018 Tour

The Bandwagon Tour unites country titans for 13 shows beginning in July

Miranda Lambert's new Livin' Like Hippies Tour kicks off a week from today on January 18th, but already the Grammy winner is already making plans for summer. On Thursday, Lambert announced that she'd be joining Little Big Town for the co-headlining Bandwagon Tour this summer.

The 13-date tour takes place over a six-week stretch during July and August, kicking off at the PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, North Carolina on July 12th. Lambert and LBT's stops will be focused along the East Coast, with a detour to Toronto's Budweiser Stage for the penultimate show on August 23rd, wrapping up August 24th at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Michigan.

Both artists, who previously collaborated on "Smokin' & Drinkin'" from Lambert's 2014 LP Platinum, are coming off successful years in 2017 thanks to a pair of critically acclaimed albums. The Weight of These Wings earned Lambert Album of the Year honors at the ACM awards, while The Breaker led to LBT being named Vocal Group of the Year at both the ACMs and CMAs. LBT also held a monthly residency at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium throughout most of last year.

Lambert will be on the road for her Livin' Like Hippies Tour with Jon Pardi from January through the end of March, while LBT will embark on the two-month Breaker Tour with Kacey Musgraves and Midland starting February 8th.

LYNYRD SKYNYRD Announces Farewell Tour

After a career that has spanned more than 40 years and includes a catalog of more than 60 albums, southern rock icons LYNYRD SKYNYRD will embark on their final "Last Of The Street Survivors Farewell Tour" presented by SiriusXM. The first leg of the career-concluding tour, produced by Live Nation, will kick off Friday, May 4 in West Palm Beach, Florida at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre and will wrap Saturday, September 1 in Atlanta, Georgia at the Cellairis Amphitheatre at Lakewood. The tour will cross the country throughout the summer over Fridays and Saturdays to give fans one last memorable night of classic American rock and roll.

Tickets for the tour go on sale to the general public starting Friday, February 2 at 10:00 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com. Citi is the official presale credit card for the "Last Of The Street Survivors Farewell Tour". As such, Citi cardmembers have access to purchase U.S. presale tickets, which are available beginning Tuesday, January 30 at 10:00 a.m. local time until Thursday, February 1 at 10:00 p.m. local time through Citi's Private Pass program.

"It's hard to imagine, after all these years, the band that Ronnie Van Zant, Allen Collins and myself started back in Jacksonville, would resonate for this long and to so many generations of fans. I'm certain they are looking down from above, amazed that the music has touched so many," said Gary Rossington, original and founding member of LYNYRD SKYNYRD. Lead vocalist Johnny Van Zant added: "We've been blessed by these great songs and the messages they carry to the fans. It's been a true honor to try and fill in my brother's footsteps for the past 31 years, keeping the music and his spirit alive."

The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame band will be joined on stage by numerous friends throughout the tour, including but not limited to Kid Rock, Hank Williams Jr., CHARLIE DANIELS BAND, BAD COMPANY, MARSHALL TUCKER BAND, .38 SPECIAL, BLACKBERRY SMOKE and BLACKFOOT.

The tour derives its name from LYNYRD SKYNYRD's new song, "The Last Of The Street Survivors", and the band's fifth studio album, "Street Survivors", that is certified multi-platinum by the RIAA and includes the platinum-certified single "What's Your Name".

The "Last Of The Street Survivors Farewell Tour" marks a big moment for the three generation of fans, as the band has been consistently touring since it took a decade off in 1977. The iconic group is widely known for their live performances that usually include their beloved, elongated version of "Free Bird", most often played at the end of their set, and their live albums including their multi-platinum certified "One More From The Road".

The southern rockers are best known for their RIAA platinum-certified anthems "Sweet Home Alabama" and self-proclaimed signature song, "Free Bird", that Rolling Stone said was "easily the most requested live song in existence." With more than 30 million units sold over their career, the band, that USA Today called the "whiskey-soaked genre's most popular and influential crew," has become a cultural icon that has spanned five decades. With everlasting hits such as "Simple Man", "Gimme Three Steps", "What's Your Name", "Call Me The Breeze", "You Got That Right" and more, Rolling Stone named LYNYRD SKYNYRD one of its "100 Greatest Bands Of All Time."

Elton John Announces Retirement From Touring

At an emotional New York press conference Wednesday, Elton John announced that he will retire from the road after a lengthy farewell tour.

"I'm not going to be touring anymore," he told moderator Anderson Cooper at New York's Gotham Hall. "I'm not going to be touring and traveling the world. My priorities have changed. I have young children." Before he finishes, however, he will spend three years on the road saying goodbye to his fans with a 300-date tour he's dubbed Farewell Yellow Brick Road. "That doesn't mean I won't still be creative," he said. "But I won't travel any more...I don't want to go out with a whimper. I want to go out with a bang...It'll be the most produced, fantastic show I've ever done."

To start the event, organizers handed out virtual reality headsets, with the VR video taking attendees through a five-minute summary of John's career. John appeared behind a piano to croon "Tiny Dancer" immediately following; the singer decked out in trademark glittered suit and sunglasses. From there, John performed a stripped-down version of his 1983 hit "I'm Still Standing."

Many acts ? including Cher, Kiss and Ozzy Osbourne ? have launched farewell tours only to return to the road just a few years later. But Elton insisted this if for real. "I'm not Cher," he said. He did say that after a long break following the conclusion of the tour in 2021 he will continue to write and record. "I'm 71. I can't physically do the traveling anymore. I want to be at home. I really want to spend time with my children at home. I've had an incredible life, but life is all about change."

He didn't rule out the possibility of a future residency like Kate Bush's 22-night stand at London's Apollo Hammersmith in 2014. "I haven't had much time off in my life," he said. "I definitely want to make a couple more albums, but that will be easy since I can do that at home. I want to see friends. I want to spend time at my house and with my photography collection. I'm really looking forward to this tour and I'm really looking forward to the 300th date."

The move comes nine months after he contracted a "rare and potentially deadly" bacterial infection in South America that forced him to cancel a series of shows. John spent two days in intensive care and nearly two weeks in the hospital. "I am so fortunate to have the most incredible and loyal fans and apologize for disappointing them," he said afterwards in a statement. "I am extremely grateful to the medical team for their excellence in looking after me so well."

The Hall of Fame musician resumed his tour in early June, with his husband/manager David Furnish indicating that John had no plans to stop. "Without question, Elton must never stop performing," he said. "We all have things that kind of keep us alive in life. Some people relish the idea of a retirement where they do nothing [but] for Elton that would be purgatory. Playing to live audiences is going to be something he always needs to do."  At Wednesday's event, however, John dismissed reports earlier in the day that he was retiring because of ill health.

This isn't the first time that John announced he was stepping away from live performing. "I've made a decision tonight that this is going to be the last show," he told a stunned crowd during a 1977 show in London. "There's a lot more to me than playing on the road and this is the last one I'm going to do." He was back performing two years later and continued to tour at a punishing rate. Over the past 20 years, he's played upwards of 133 shows a year that he balances between his residency at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas and arenas and stadiums around the world.

Three years ago, John began discussing finally slowing down to spend more time with his young family. "I've had lots of time off with my children, and it's all got to change now that [my son] Zachary is starting school," he told Rolling Stone. "I've got to be off when half-term comes. And I am planning on cutting down my shows to be with my children, because that's what I really love."
