I'm amazed at that. It's notoriously difficult for any band to play there- submission of all lyrics and setlista before appro al is standard I think- so given the song 'chinese democracy' alone I'm surprised they were granted approval. That will be an interesting show for sure- I imagine the setlist will have to be altered.

Yep, things work differently there. I landed in Hong Kong and had to travel to Shenzhen in a car, got stopped in the bridge between the cities by the Chinese border guards to check our visas. It's very much like a different country.

don't forget they already played in HK in summer 2002, it was their first show of the year. it's just not widely known much, because no bootleg of the show has ever circulated.

I wonder if GNR can squeeze in visits visits to Oz, NZ and Japan in October and early November. AD is the last gig so maybe time to head over to India and South Africa late November and early December. I know there were rumours of Las Vegas shows for New Year previously, maybe this year..great that GNR keep touring.

I'm not sure if India is able to handle a gig of this magnitude.

Surely, they have big cricket games all the time with very large attendances but it is chaotic and pure madness.

This tour seems to be about hitting places in Asia that didn't get to see GN'R in 2017. So a return to Australia, New Zealand and Japan seems less likely.

My cousin sent me a wedding invite a few months ago (I hadn't confirmed my attendance yet). She's getting married in Cape Town (South Africa) November 24th . I live in Spain, so it's not really down the road for me (11 hour flight)...well after reading this, I think she will be getting a confirmation email from me now! 


BTW, South Africa is fucking awesome. One of the most beautiful countries I've ever seen...

Or whoever gets booked as the support act, they'll probably jump the gun also in excitement and go all out on that.

maybe they jumped the gun...great news. maybe they will announce other dates at the same time jarmo..so maybe durban and cape town which is a stunning place. if they are heading this way maybe we do see shows in india too. delhi, bangalore and mumbai.

I'm assuming it's this year. All the dates announced so far are for 2018.

I don't know if there are any plans for 2019.

Yeah, looks like a "report" on the tech glitch itself 
Hardly an accurate source of info.

The point is that people are talking about it, inquiring about tickets, etc....meaning that the demand is there, even though the venue is a 90k pax capacity, but they might just be able to fill it without problems, judging by the mood on the ground.
