Also, was this version considered for GNR Lies? Sounds like it was from the same sessions as the 2nd part of Lies...

I love this version, just good to hear Axl singing like that and in nice crisp quality sounds great. Looking forward to listening to whats on this new release

This is an outtake from the Lies sessions with Mike Clink at Rumbo in January 1988.  It was previously unknown to exist.

Other outtakes from that sessions ARE circulating (from Alan Niven's archive) :
