Not cheap.  Pretty sure I paid $300 for a first level seat.

So if you want to be front of stage ( standing) it 's more than 300$ ? In Europe you can get VIPs for 300+ . I ve never been to a concert in the US before, I just moved here.

Last time most of it was seating, with just a very small pit on either side of the stage for a few standing. I think they were very expensive, but not sure exactly how much. Most of the tickets for those places got sold at inflated prices, so seemed a bit difficult to work out face value (or if anyone actually paid that).

Guns N' Roses to conquer 2019 with more shows on their unstoppable Not In This Lifetime tour

Shows Join Previously Announced Run of Festivals and Mexico Stadium Dates

–Tickets For New Dates On Sale Starting June 21st at LiveNation.com –

Guns N’ Roses is bringing their outrageously successful Not In This Lifetime Tour back to the U.S this fall – and for the first time in 2019. With fans hungry for more GNR, today the band revealed eight new dates across the United States, kicking off September 25th in Charlotte, NC. The shows include two back-to-back nights on Friday, November 1st and Saturday, November 2nd in Las Vegas at the legendary Colosseum at Caesars Palace, their most intimate venue since the 2017 performance at The Apollo Theater. Tickets go on sale for the newly announced dates to the general public starting Friday, June 21 at 10:00am local time at LiveNation.com.

These eight shows join a previously revealed run of major festivals that will bring the band to cities across the United States, along with two colossal stadium dates in Mexico. The wide range of festivals GNR will hit include Louder Than Life Festival, Austin City Limits, Exit 111 Festival, and Voodoo Festival.

Guns N’ Roses fans rejoiced when Axl, Slash, and Duff reunited for the Not In This Lifetime Tour back in 2016. Since their unbelievable return, the rock icons have performed 150+ shows for over 5 million fans in stadiums, arenas, and as part of festivals worldwide.  Last year the band made history by performing in Hawaii for the first time ever at Honolulu’s Aloha Stadium. They have dominated 14 stadiums and held five summer festival headlining slots around the world as part of the monumental run. The European dates in 2018 alone brought the mind-blowing stage show to over 750,000 fans. Produced and promoted by Live Nation, the tour has become one of the highest grossing and most successful outings of all time.

I paid $400 through Stubhub for a GA pit ticket in San Francisco. I can't remember why I didn't buy directly from Ticketmaster. There's a chance that it sold out before I could grab one and had to go through Stubhub. Anyway, in my opinion, it was worth it to do it once. Fernando brought Duff's daughters down to watch the show about 5 people down from me. It's hard to beat this view of Slash: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tI_oJ8h-jo

I caught four shows with three in pit. I bought all my tickets the second they were released publicly and as I recall the pit tickets were like $295 before all the BS fees, etc. I doubt that will change as it appears to be the norm for some of the bigger acts. Paul McCartney - if you could get them within seconds - also were $300 as was Ozzy before he postponed his North American tour.

I guess what I’m saying is that is that it’s $300 for awesome “seats” until they hit second hand market. I know the price isn’t for everyone but it is what it is.

I’m debating on buying tickets to the final Vegas show.  That’s where the wife and I got married before a GNR show 7 years ago lol... I have a friend that’s debating on coming so I was gonna buy 4 tickets. That price is pretty wild though... I’m just worried that if my friend and his girl can’t come I’d be shit out of luck with two extra tickets 😳

Vegas is crazy expensive comparing to the other shows because the venue is really small.

Vegas is expensive, but took my oldest son who is 13 to first Vegas show in 2016.  Just saw Duff in San Francisco.  The chance to see his 4th GNR show and in a smaller venue worth it.

Precisely what I’m struggling with... So far I’ve seen the “not in this lifetime” twice in Vegas at their first two shows, twice in Detroit a year in a half apart and one in Minnesota. I mean don’t get me wrong each show was great, buuuut it’s pretty much the same setlist with a few alternates. I may just bite the bulletin and go, I’m just hoping that have a little something extra for that smaller Vegas show. Back in ‘12 Izzy showed up for the show after the wife’s and is wedding and that was pretty cool. I don’t know if I’m struggling with the triple ticket price from what I was paying or just the price for the same show I’ve seen. Decisions decisions🤷🏼‍♂️

I couldn't possibly afford those prices.

Not good times for GNR fans who aren't super-rich.

I don't care how much money I have on my savings account (not much) but this is becoming a joke now in any case.

Sorry band, but I've paid you a lot, very much in many countries, flights, hotels, everything. Oh and tickets EUR100 or more.

What do you give in return, awesome shows they were. But now this very simply put is not good times for loyal fans.

I would go with upper deck in all honesty. I have seen many shows here and all seats are pretty good. I’ll wait for the live nation presale instead of renewing Nightrain.

Prices will be the same but I don’t need to purchase the Nightrain as it has no benefit for that.

To be honest, I think that the pricing for the Vegas show is SAD. A rock band charging the fans 300$ for upper balcony?!  Shocked Rock concerts should not be a privilege of the rich.

I utterly agree. I'm being priced out of gigs all the time now.....and watching people I know go who don't really like the music that much, but simply have the money to do so.

Whats going on with these service fees?
Berlin last year had something like 30€ service fee while Tallinn was more like 1€ service fee.

How do they get away with this? And how do they justify it?

They don't need to. Ticketmaster pretty much have a monopoly, so if you don't want to pay it, you can't get the ticket! They can charge whatever they feel like really.

A shame its not regulated. its getting out of hand.

Venues probably have contracts that prevent other companies doing business with them.

I know this is trivial but is pit 1 separated from pit 2 in the US arena concerts? If you look at the map there are two different pits at the sides of the catwalk (but not in the middle).

This has nothing to do with the band or their business. Service fees are universal including whatever circus or sports match you can think of.

They do it because they can and it has absolutely nothing to do with actually recovering real costs. Easy way to make some more money because who cares if your ticket is $320 or $335 because this is out of this world and especially Not in This Lifetime.

A lot of people are, but ticketmaster/live nation have a monopoly now. A lot of people tried to fight the merger.

Those Vegas prices are insane. I love the band but I will not pay $1000+ for a ticket to one show.

Admittedly I'm not really motivated to drop the $$ to  catch them this year without some new music or a significant change in the set list.  That could change but just dont want to see the same show I did in '16 and '17.

I passed on the Vegas shows. I went in to the live nation presale and saw that nose bleed seats would be over 200 after all is said and done. Good seats were outrageous. I’ll wait for an arena show with more options for better seats. First time I’ve ever passed on seeing GNR. Hope everyone has a great time though.

Is level 400 really nosebleed seats? Someone else said it’s a small venue so all seats are good. How does this venue compare in size to The Joint at Hardrock where they did those residences?

If there is ever a chance of Izzy jumping on board this is it a very short tour based mainly in the US so maybe if they ask him again he would do it .I find it odd that after touring the world extensively for two years they announced these run of shows ,I don't get the reasoning behind it as they've played most of these places recently hopefully they've told Axl about it they do need to move on from the nostalgia tours and start touring on the back of new music.

I'd be astonished if Izzy shows up at this point in the game. That boat seems to have sailed.

I wouldn't rule it he and Axl were the closest in the band and he has a habit of turning up when least expected, nobody thought  Slash would ever rejoin GnR most were resigned to glorified tribute act made up from a bunch of hired players.

The only way I could envision Izzy taking part is a smaller, one-off show.  GNR should do a one-time charity event with all 5 original members, and they could raise a huge amount of money for whatever charity they chose.  That would be the only conceivable way I would see Izzy or Steven rejoining at this point, but then again, Not In My Lifetime did I ever think Slash would rejoin either, so....

I think so too. Izzy said quite clearly that his not returning was about money, so that would have to be a factor, which would involve two scenarios; less money for the current members in order to pay him, or an event where no-one is making money, such as a charity one.

Going forwards though, the shows are going to take something more to give them a sales push. Working out a deal with Izzy would provide that push. At the moment though I don't think we're at that stage.

The thing that always amazed me is how izzy thought he could get the same amount of money... I mean he's the only guy who REALLY left by choice almost 30 years ago... He hadn't to fight for years (right or wrong) like the others guys for the legacy of the band and so on... And if it's only for the money he can stay away from the reunion... I mean if he can spit on I don't know how much money and he prefers having 0 $ (genius) just because the loot it's not equal it's fine for me...

Yeah, frankly I'm tired of the deification of Izzy these days. People act like he was 90% of GNR which is fucking ridiculous. Yeah, he got credit on some good songs (and some stinkers), but he's done absolutely nothing of value since, while Slash and Axl have both continued making top grade music. And if he's such a pure artist above all the money grabbing stadium tours, why does he give a fuck what cut he's getting? Shouldn't it be about the music? About the brotherhood? They're all clean and sober adults now. If Axl and Slash can patch it up, what the hell is Izzy's excuse?

I totally understand the love for Izzy he helped create the band we know and love but I am a huge fan of Richard Fortus and I think he has complemented this band perfectly. If Izzy wants to come do a couple songs at a show here or their great but I am greatful for Richard and what he has contributed and what he will contribute too in the future. Please give some love to Richard.

From way outside looking in, IMHO, Izzy and Richard have had absolutely no issues playing in GNR together.  I admit I had serious doubts when I first heard they would be together on stage but I admit I was totally wrong and blown away by how the two played together and off of each other beautifully, seamlessly and showed IMO mutual respect and admiration for each other's contributions and standing within GNR.

Whatever Izzy's issues are about playing with GNR, I don't believe Richard is one of them.

Yeah, the Izzy shows I saw seemed fine in terms of them both playing together. I don't think that's the problem at all. The only problem we know of is the money one - that's what Izzy himself has said, so we've got to take that as the primary reason.

I think there's an element of 'wanting what you haven't got' here too. If Izzy was playing with them, people would want Steven. If Steven was, people would want Sorum. And so on.

There will always be demand for the 'AFD 5', but i'd say that's incredibly unlikely - the band haven't been a 5 piece for a long, long time now.

Not since 1990 in fact -- when the 5 piece Appetite lineup last performed together!

However, I don't think being strictly a 5 piece band is really the issue.  If we actually had Axl, Slash, Duff, Steven, and Izzy all on one stage at the same time, I think few would complain about the presence of the newer members.  I mean, Steven got huge ovations every time he appeared with GNR in 2016 -- and that was with Melissa, Dizzy, and Richard onstage too.  So I don't think having only five guys onstage is the only thing that will satiate fans of the original lineup.

Out of interest, does anyone know where and when the last 5 piece show was?

April 7, 1990 at Farm Aid at the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, IN.  The last show with all five original members, and Steven's last show until 2016.

After that, GNR's next performance was January 20, 1991 at Rock in Rio.  Steven was gone, but Matt Sorum and Dizzy Reed debuted at this show. So we have Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff, Matt Sorum, and Dizzy Reed -- making it a 6 piece band.

Then came December 5, 1991 in Worcester, MA -- Izzy was gone, and new additions included Gilby Clarke, background singers, the horn section, as well as Teddy Zig Zag!   Tongue

Pretty comprehensive answer! Thanks for that. So really 1991 was the big leap in 'style' as a live show (for want of a better word).

It's possible. Considering the size of the venue and therefore the size of the GAPIT?

Sounds like pure speculation.

This sounds like someone somewhere is trying to think about it. They only forgot to tell the relevant people.

Those Vegas prices are insane. I love the band but I will not pay $1000+ for a ticket to one show.

Same here, was looking to see them again in Vegas, 1000 for a Ticket is too much. I have been to too many GNR shows, I think this is one of the expensive shows I have seen.

I am going to Guadalajara from US and will be cheaper including, travel, stay and ticket plus some beers =).
