According to sources close to the sequel, original GNR members Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan were invited to a private screening to see if they could repeat the magic of 1991. The band's hit song "You Could Be Mine" was handpicked by Arnold Schwarzenegger for Terminator 2: Judgment Day and the song helped propel the movie, along with their upcoming Use Your Illusion records.

According to sources, the members of Guns N' Roses screened the movie and then went right to work on finishing a song, which is currently untitled. "Slash was at Axl's house to record overdubs on a song for the rush release," says the source close to the Terminator: Dark Fate production. It appears that the song will be rush-released to coincide with the premiere of the movie on November 1st. This could end up as massive news for fans of GNR.

I had to log in and respond to this one! Have you not seen American news in the last 20 years? BBC a little better...not sure what you get up in Sweden.  The cable news people are in such a rush to be ‘first’ or ‘exclusive’ that they are duped by pranksters, photoshop, and outright lies on an almost daily basis. ‘Fact checking’ appears to consist of a quick wikipedia search. If someone is willing to anonymously feed them something they want to believe, they run it.

How 'music news' works in 2019:

1) Find a rumour; use fan forums if necessary
2) Make a 'news article' based around that rumour. Use 'un-named insider' if desired.
3) Wait for people to click on the 'news article' to drive ad-revenue
4) People believe news story and get excited, sharing your 'news article' and gaining further clicks and ad-revenue for you
5) Wait for story to get officially shot-down by someone
6) Make a 'news article' based around the rumour being shot-down

I would say the way to avoid this constant cycle is only to use reputable news sources, but sadly even those are susceptible to this level of bullshit now that has dragged journalism through the mud.

well, good thing is, they're working on a full new album

it was that or the end of the band after the reunion tour (I didn't see Axl hiring new guys after
Slash & Duff rejoined, didn't make any sense to relive the difficult days of the CD line ups, to a public eye perspective)

so that's the good road for us right? we're waiting for that since, well, too long

I hope it will inspire the guys from Oasis, Supergrass and some other kick-ass bands.
