tim, you got power?  Frozen into social isolation here.

We lost power multiple times. We had 4 extended outages of 12+ hours starting Monday and finally ending Wednesday afternoon.

Take that next stimulus check and get a backup generator.  Or convince your favorite neighbor to get one.  hihi  Never hurts to have your own power supply especially with the changing weather we've been having.  I didn't think it even snowed in Texas.

No can do, i'm in an apartment and you can't use gas powered generators because you can't keep it far enough way from the buildings. The best we  could do it a battery powered one to use very small things.

Oh yeah, you're screwed.

Our covid numbers keep dropping.  We're back to July numbers.

Dr Fauci says we may need to wear face masks into 2022.  Does social distancing go along with that?

I'd say everything goes along with that.

At my job, they are absolute Nazis about following Covid protocol.  Wearing masks, social distancing, temperature checks for everyone who enters the building, plexiglass barriers in between desks, signs on the floor that tell you where to stand, doorknobs being disinfected several times of day, etc.  Employees are also prohibited from carpooling to work or riding to lunch together.

That's just where we are right now.

Seems extreme but have they had any out breaks that were related to work?  My former office is still working from home.  The gardens I volunteer at are proud to say we haven't spread it around.

I don't think so.  But like I said, it has more to do with the state of the world right now.  They want to avoid outbreaks.... and lawsuits.... altogether.

Yeah it's the outbreaks and lawsuits.  I guess were going ahead with the wedding.  All the grandparents will have their shots and we run the risk they will have a natural death if we delay anyway.  The younger crowd isn't paying much attention to covid safety.  I've been pretty good at dodging this bullet.  We'll see who wants to come.

Woohoo, the university just announced in person graduations.  Means I shouldn't have to schedule 50 people into 10 slots everyday, in between rains drops and cold weather out in our gardens.  Now if they will just let us back in the building to pee.  Cheesy  I don't know, we may be opening up to quick.

Got her!  Cheesy  DJ's mother is 88 today.  She's kind on lock down at her senior community.  We went over this morning and put up 50 brightly colored, pinwheels all over her front yard.  hihi  We got busted by a few other residences up early, put a smile on their faces.  It will have the whole community talking.  Grin

Today was the first reported covid death in the US one year ago.  They backed it up to February 6th upon further research.

First vaccine shot down!

Yea, my friends in Arizona and my neighbor were in line today too.  How are you feeling?

I'm still at the end of the line but I did get a message asking if I still needed to be on the waiting list.  I caved and did get all the equipment to run my first zoom meeting with a power point today.  And I have a second one set up.  It's not that I can't do this stuff, I just didn't want to.  hihi  And what it got me was possession of the external mic so we can record educational videos on my phone.  I got a new interest.  It was forced upon me.  I hope I like it.  hihi  Fucking pandemic.  I've got a camera in my face and I'm putting it in others.  I just want a needle in the arm even if it's two.

It's hard to believe it's just been a year since the covid restrictions started in my state.  Feels like it's been a lot longer.  Feels like new routines are old habits.

I kind of liked being grounded.  It's nice to step out of the rat race.  It wasn't that I wasn't busy but it's been a nice change of pace.
