Yep, except he really didn't. Every president for decades has lost VA at least once.

But acknowledging reality makes you a loser!  Roll Eyes

Tell you what, one of the big problems with politics these days is treating it like a sport and the obsession with "winning". We should only be concerned with America succeeding. Not hurting our opponents or scoring points in a debate. It's a shame that people like Sandman put their politics above their country.

Well said!

My mistake, it was 2010 when Obama lost VA but he still did and so has every president at least once for decades.

Boy, he really got you on that one exception to the rule in decades!
Yep, except he really didn't. Every president for decades has lost VA at least once.

here is what you originally said:

"Should we tell him its actually normal for the party in the White House to lose the VA Governor's race? It has been happening since Clinton."

so you were referencing the fact that in most years, if there is a D in the white house, R win the next VA governor's race.

I pointed out that the trend you were referencing is one that started in the 70's (not since clinton), and actually ended in 2013. so based on recent results, it is not a foregone conclusion that the party in the white house will lose the VA governor's race.

NOW you are saying:

"Yep, except he really didn't. Every president for decades has lost VA at least once."

that is a completely different statement.

you posted false information. just admit you made a mistake. no big deal.

True it didn't switch in 2018, but the Republican candidate didn't win. So yes, i was wrong it didn't actually change to D in 2018 from an R.

down to 37.8% approval and he's reached new highs with a 59% disapproval rating.

but this is not bad, nor is it evidence that his approval ratings are tanking because trump and shut up you nazi.

Once again putting your politics above national unity. It's always "Biden is losing" and "the imaginary strawman leftist in my head is calling me a Nazi" with you.

Your obsession with approval ratings is deliciously hypocritical when you supported the president with the lowest approval ratings in history.

Last Trump Job Approval 34%; Average Is Record-Low 41%

Trump's ex-communications director has warned that if the former president wins a 2nd term he would establish an autocracy in the US

https://www.businessinsider.com/ex-white-house-official-warns-of-a-us-autocracy-if-trump-wins-2nd-term-2021-11
Duh? Many of us have known this for awhile.

Sure, but let's not underplay the fact that this is unprecedented waters; A US president having a member of their administration come out and warn they are an autocrat.

You know, there's nothing new in the sex world that hasn't been going on for centuries.  Trying to keep it hidden from the kids only leads to confusion, guilt and bad things.

Throughout the entire history of humanity, they have always been the ones suppressing free speech. They've only recently started having success pushing a narrative that inverts that reality, branded as "cancel culture". In reality, what they slander as "cancel culture" is really just personal responsibility and accountability that they disagree with.

Projection is their number 1 tactic. If you can stomach it, watch a Tucker Carlson segment and you'll hear a complete inversion of reality; he's fighting for the working class against the Dems who are just puppets of the "elites".

Here's a great quote from a Harvard political scientist, explaining how conservative parties were formed in the transition away from feudalism and monarchy to preserve the control of the monied elites:

"The most crucial variable predicting the success of a democratic transition is the self-confidence of the incumbent elites. If they feel able to compete under democratic conditions, they will accept democracy. If they do not, they will not. And the single thing that most accurately predicts elite self-confidence, as Ziblatt marshals powerful statistical and electoral evidence to argue, is the ability to build an effective, competitive conservative political party before the transition to democracy occurs."

So they agreed on the infrastructure bill? On one hand, people don't like Biden because he doesn't do anything, on the other hand, they don't like him because he spends money. Unlike the previous president(s)?

When I was in the US, it hadn't turned into Venezuela nor had they taken all your guns away. So how close to the socialist state are we now? Maybe I just don't notice, being from Northern Scandinavia and being used to this socialism thing...

And now the Republicans who voted with the Democrats are getting death threats, yes our political climate has become so toxic that just voting with the democrats is prompting death threats from so called republicans against congress, because fixing roads, bridges, transit, upgrading water systems, replacing lead pipes, railroad, electric vehicle charging, broadband to rural areas, modernizing the grid and airports is so awful.

I think the problem for Biden is that Dems have no idea how to market themselves. Trump would flip a light switch and put out an ad campaign boasting what an accomplishment it was. The Dems give us the biggest infrastructure package since the creation of the highway system and all you hear is criticism on cable news because they don't take the initiative to advertise its benefits themselves. It amazes me that they haven't learned from the success the GOP has with a strategy of "all style, no substance". They think substance sells itself but it doesn't. When you can have both good marketing and a good product, why would you ever hamstring yourself by not doing both?
