I love GN'R, have been a fan for around two decades and I still enjoy their material a lot.
Although I almost never listen to the Spaghetti Incident, I like the songs, I think they are catchy, and it is Slash, Duff, and Axl but I feel something is missing.
In my opinion, it is Izzy who is missing.
What do you think?
Do you listen to this album?
I think that for some reason, most fans do not listen to it either.

I haven't listened to the whole thing in many years.

I do love "Ain't it Fun" though.  That song rocks some seriously hard ass, and it's the one cover that sounds the most like a GNR original.

"Black Leather" is a cool cover too.

there's nothing missing, it feels different because the songs are covers, but I would argue its the hardest hitting album of the whole bunch.

I have not listened to it in years. I personally think the album is average in that it is more punk than blues. beer

According to the members of the band and Izzy himself, we can barely hear Izzy's guitar on UYI, so I don't think he's missing on TSI.

don't know how much ironic is this thread but there's some great stuff on the album,
best tracks to me are Since I Don't Have You, Down on The Farm, Raw Power and of course
Ain't It Fun, who could have been on UYI.

Still, we listen to him, and Izzy composed a lot

His contributions in the band was enormous, surely they are not robots to play a cover exactly the same

TSI was recorded during the UYI sessions, then Gilby re-recorded Izzy's parts after he left the band.

Truth.  I would've loved to hear the final product with Izzy.

But the S.I. does not have the spirit of Izzy with it.
