Did Axl get upset during Steven Adler s appearance with GNR? What is the story?

I was told Axl got angry and complained about Steven's guest appearance with GNR and said it would not happen again.
What is the story?

In 2017 Steven said that in Argentina 2016 when Axl saw him on stage he said "what the fuck is he doing here?" and he was only able to speak to Axl for like 10 seconds. He also said when he tried playing a second song they turned the sound off. Who knows if what he's saying is accurate though, that's just his account. He said this stuff in two separate interviews, one with Mitch Lafon and one with Eddie Trunk.

The only thing I remember being said about Steven playing with them in S AM is that the venue had to pay extra if they wanted him and nobody paid extra.
