On this day in 1991, GN'R started the Use Your Illusion tour

That summer of 1991 was a pretty exciting time for a GN'R fans.

Totally.

I always say when I think of GNR, it's that time period.  1991-92.  Even though I consider AFD superior to UYI, it's the UYI era that is my go to thought about this band.

And, as I have posted on about 40 different YouTube clips : "1992-93 Axl is the best Axl.  Singing, anyway.  Behavior...not so much."

If you ever see some variation of that comment...that's me.

I've seen the comment on a number of posts in one variation or another. I have to disagree. 2006 was incredible. I get it wasn't Slash and Duff, but Axl was just unreal.

Seeing this thread threw me for a loop.  I was like, "wait, it BEGAN 30 years ago??"  Then I realized a 2 year old thread got resurrected.

We're actually about a month away from the 30th anniversary of the END of the Use Your Illusion tour!  Last show was July 17, 1993!

It's unreal from my point of view because on July 16, 2023 I will be watching them in Bucharest.
