I don't post many topics here but seeing the combo of GNR & Iron Maiden the same night at Power Trip had me thinking what songs in a fantasy booking situation like to see the other band cover. For Example Id love to see GNR do a cover of Fear of the Dark and Iron Maiden do a cover of Civil War I know alot of maiden songs have to do with historical events such as war times and think that would be a cool one of Iron maiden to do. Others thoughts? I also picture Axl singing Run to the Hills.

I cannot in a million years imagine how it would sound if either one covered the other's song.

That's an interesting question. The musical styles of the bands are quite different. At least they sound different to me.

So it's hard to come up with songs.  hihi

I definitely agree 2 different styles. I should have prefaced my original comment to state that these are 2 of my fav bands and obviously there is a history with GNR/Maiden maybe  not the best based on the stories from back then. I mean you have seen Axl cover slither & black hole sun so this was just a for fun topic I don't see an Axl/Bruce collaboration happening anytime soon lol.

I could see GNR doing something form the first two Maiden albums with their punkish sound. Or Maybe "Be Quick or Be Dead", it has a "Right Next Door to Hell" - "Perfect Crime" feel.
