Another festival, I'm going to assume outside.  Weather looks hot, cooling off in the evening.  I'm going to assume air quality continuing as poor.  GNR on stage at 7:25.

Mario says the internet sucks there.  I thanked him for continuing to try but I'm done.  Goodnight folks.

I attended Aftershock yesterday. Guns N' Roses were on fire all night. Slash was a beast. Axl looked like he was having a blast, he smiled through most of the performance.  IMHO this was his best performance at a show I attended since at least the Las Vegas shows at the beginning of the Not in This Lifetime tour. Maybe even since 2006. WTTJ was a standout. I think they slowed it down a bit and Axl sounded like it was 2006 again for sure. Perhaps and HardSkool sounded great as did Estranged, Civil War and Better.  I'm not a fan of the way Axl chooses to sing November Rain these days, he hits every note but...

I caught most of Daughtry's set and they were much better than I expected. Also Rancid were really good. Aftershock was great except it was really, really hot. I didn't expect it to be that hot in October. I had never been to a music festival unless Day on The Green @ The Oakland Coliseum counts. I went to a few of those back in the late 70's/early 80's. Standing for 8+ hours with the first 5+ in the heat was tiring. But it was definitely worth it.

Oh, and the 49ers dismantled the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. So, the day couldn't have turned out any better.
