I'm shocked at the number of seats available for tonight's Nov. 2 show.  The most expensive seats are only $700 (before fees).  You can get a ticket for as low as $50.  There are hundreds (thousands?) of seats available.  Being L.A. I thought these shows would sell out.  The capacity is only 17,500.  Maybe people are tiring of seeing a mostly similar show the last 7 years (maybe I'm projecting)?  A new album would re-ignite interest in the luke warm fans.

I love GNR so I would fly out to see them in LA at these reasonable prices if I could (too overloaded with work right now).

Yeah, I suspect most people would disagree with your statement that $700 is "reasonable". I got to about 15-20 shows a year and get some of the best seats and I have never paid $700 a ticket, and that includes pit seats for Aerosmith in Vegas and pit seats for the Stones in Nashville. I think the most I ever paid for a GNR ticket - pit - was around $350-$400 before fees/taxes (and I've seen them in six different states).

Yes, I get it that the days of a great seat for $100 are long gone and that if you don't get into the ticketmaster que early or get lucky, then you pay third party prices, but $700 is not reasonable, particuarly for a band that's toured almost non-stop since 2015.

(Also, I'm not blaming the band for these prices. I understand the ticketmaster analytics and the third party prices.)

I do however agree that $50 is a reasonable price, particularly since its to see a legendary band. I'm sure they're probably in the 300 level section but that's still a good deal and most people have the savvy to move down at least another level to an empty seat.

I don't think you can say that about this year's show... I saw a whole bunch of songs I've never seen live before.

I don't think so either.  Haven't they been a top grossing tour all these years?  Still large audiences even though it may not be a sell out.  It's not like most people go to more than one show in the same year.  You listen to the streamers and they have no clue what song comes next, no clue on the new songs and they are waiting for the hits.

Love "The Gun's" although, we all have to come to realization that (we're) 64+ years old. Post is from an old man! Love the new Stones stuff - $ is to be made if you're willing to make the effort?

Shocked beer
Well, they are in the business for the money. Not saying they make music for the money. They make music, but have to find a way of selling the product.
I hope, I too, will be listening and loving the band in 20 years... beer

Hard to know what to say exactly about The General because the video and sound quality are not very good.

The one from the pit is pretty good for sound.  The filming of it is great, gives a mood that goes with the song content.

Can't tell you how pissed I am we weren't getting live streams last night for that.   hihi

Ugh i hate that they are coming out with this live first before hearing the official recording of the song because listening thru someone's cell phone video is not giving a good representation of the song. I hope they come out with a video for it or something ala perhaps. FYI i know its been the GNR MO to play new song live before official release but at least perhaps had a video following its initial release live. But I hope everyone who was there live enjoyed it.

Fuck me, They played The General!

All things considered, Axl was fucking great. Kudos to him  ok The guy is 61 years old, but he's in great shape. Yes, he doesn't sound like he did in 1992 but, come on, he can still do it.

Band is tight. Great to see Axl singing next to Slash, to Duff and Richard. They seem to be having a great time!

Ugh, this is what all the waiting has been for? The General is terrible. It sounds like it's from a mediocre emo musical. It keeps getting harder and harder to love this band. Hopefully they can run through all the CD-era stuff quickly enough to get to a point where they write together.
