Alright I will give this a try sense I am a woman. I got into GNR from the first time I saw them on MTV. It was shortly after that they started playing them on our local rock station. I wasn't hooked at first. Just a general fan of the music. I saw a band that very much looked like they weren't going to live long and honestly didn't want to get to close. Then Axl was on the cover of Rolling Stone for the first time. I read the article over and over again. Pretty much the end of my general relationship with them. lol I never really looked back. Tried to read anything good or bad about him after that. Yes, Axl and the shit he has been through was my biggest connection. Don't get me wrong he has been through way more shit than I ever have but I saw a strong connection. I saw a guy slowly digging his way out and I could really relate to it. Helped me heal and helped me realize I was doing the right thing for myself. And yes, he was my type. lol |
