You might think it's boring, but these statistics show how fans of certain artist listen to their music.

You take U2 for example. They have no songs with over 1 billion streams on Spotify. Meanwhile AC/DC has four.

The Beatles has one, as do the Foo Fighters. Metallica has two and Aerosmith one. Red Hot Chili Peppers has three.

T. Swift has 5 (maybe 6, now) and The Weekend has 11, I think!

Take your success where you find it.  Lord knows there's enough folks out there waiting to knock you down and failing to give you any kudos when you do earn it.

I consider it their signature song.

If I had to introduce the band to someone who had never heard a note, this would be my pick.

I think this is a great testament to the quality of Guns N Roses music as it continues to reach new generations.  The people who consume music mostly on Spotify weren’t even born when Illusions came out , hell they might have been born after “Chinese Democracy” came out.

It shows the band continues to develop new fans as opposed to some other giant bands of that time or  who even came after them, like Pearl Jam for example.  I’m not knocking PJ, they are an all time band , but their audience as big and loyal as it is, seems to be mostly the same people who have been following them since 1992. They don’t develop new fans at the level GNR do, despite putting out albums on a regular basis.  I see several generations of fans at the shows I go to, I don’t see that at the same level for other bands I see.  It’s an extremely hard thing to do.  If I’m not mistaken November Rain is also the highest viewed 90s music video or it was the first to 2 billion views.  It’s really astounding.

Yes. I was a bit surprised when I checked the stats for hard rock bands and how many of their songs have that many streams.

Everyone knows Taylor Swift fans use Spotify and buy tickets. Pop acts and TikTok sensations are a thing on their own.

This is quite an accomplishment  ok

As far as Rock goes, just a few acts have more streams than Guns.

Coldplay: 10 songs over 1 billion
Queen: 5 songs over 1 billion
AC/DC: 4 songs over 1 billion
Arctic Monkeys: 4 songs over 1 billion

These have less than Guns:

Nirvana: 2 songs over 1 billion
Bon Jovi: 2 songs over 1 billion
Metallica: 2 songs over 1 billion
Beatles: 1 song over 1 billion
Stones: 1 song over 1 billion

Yeah, I agree, but I suspect it's a generational thing. The rock fans are older and some probably still listening to CDs, albums, etc, which takes away from the streams. Also, as I recall, I think ACDC was a bit resistant to streaming, so that will take away from their stats as well.

AC/DC still has four songs with over a billion streams. The same as Arctic Monkeys, who obviously is a younger band.

Queen and AC/DC have managed to get five and four songs into the 1 billion streams club. Meanwhile The Beatles and the Rolling Stones have one each.

Somehow Queen and AC/DC have reached that audience who uses Spotify in a way the other two haven't?

TV and movie exposure?

My bad, I think I misunderstood your comment. I actually thought AC/DC would have more than four. That's what surprised me. I'm probably not making sense at this point. Haha.
