Axl Rose Pleads No Contest In Arizona Airport Tussle
Axl Rose phoned in a plea of no contest to the Phoenix Municipal Courtroom yesterday on a misdemeanor charge of disturbing the peace.

The Guns N' Roses singer received a $500 fine from Judge Michael Lester and was sentenced to time served, namely the two to three hours Rose spent in jail the night he was first picked up for an altercation with security personnel in the Phoenix airport a year ago February.

According to Rose's Phoenix-based lawyer, Joe Keilp, the singer just wanted to get the incident behind him and get on with his life. Sources say Rose was apparently reluctant to take the time away from recording the new Guns N' Roses album in Los Angeles to fight the charge in Phoenix and took the line of least resistance.
