Gn'R's Axl Rose Resurfaces To Disorderly Conduct Charges
After four years of relative public silence, Guns n' Roses frontman Axl Rose resurfaced early Wednesday morning when he was arrested in a Phoenix airport for disorderly conduct.

According to a spokesperson for Rose, the singer had been visiting friends in the area, and was at a security check point at Phoenix's Sky Harbor Airport when he was stopped. Rose's spokesperson says that a bubble-wrapped glass gift began to topple to the floor. When Rose grabbed the falling gift, his representative says Rose was told not to touch it, and an argument ensued.

Sergeant Mike Torres of the Phoenix Police Department says that Rose refused to let airport personnel inspect his carry-on bag, and began shouting obscenities. Police say that Rose was warned repeatedly that he would be arrested if he didn't settle down.

According to police, Rose was arrested at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Wednesday, and was released by 2 a.m.

Rose was charged with a class one misdemeanor, the highest kind next to a felony. A conviction on this charge would merit either a $2,500 fine and/or six months in jail. Rose will be arraigned in ten days and go before a judge, who will decide which it will be.

Rose saw his share of much more serious charges in his band's wilder days, but the singer has seemingly checked out of public life for the last four years. With exception of the occasional appearance among the crowd at a concert (like Radiohead's Los Angeles show last year), Rose has kept a remarkably low profile.
