Billy's side project, the occasional super group/covers band known as Camp Freddy, will be making an appearance at next Saturday's Lollapalooza Festival. The show, being held at Irvine Meadows on August 16th, is headlined by the founders of the festival, Janes Addiction. And as their guitarist, Mr Dave Navarro, happens to be in Camp Freddy as well, the invitation to join the party when it rolls into Los Angeles just had to be accepted.
Says Billy "Its all an elaborate ploy to get all our friends into the festival on our tour bus! What with Janes, Audioslave, Perfect Circle, Queens, Incubus, etc all on the same bill, its an honor to be asked to play. We have no idea what songs we'll be playing, or who will be the guests, but as usual with a Camp Freddy show, I'm sure it will be a lot of fun."
GN'R were on MTV Latin America. The November Rain performance at the 1992 VMAs with Elton John, was at #13 on a countdown of the best live performances in the history of the VMAs.
Apparently Duff posted a message to the fans over at the Velvet Revolver Forum.
He said that they're hoping for a January release. It depends on a few different factors (producer, studio, etc..). You can read the full message here. |
