Lanegan Rocks With Gn'R Men + Tommy update + VR update from MTV + Offspring's album isn't called CD
This is from a Mark Lanegan article about his forthcoming solo album called Bubblegum:

A pair of former Guns n' Roses members, Izzy Stradlin and Duff McKagan, turn up on Bubblegum as well. "Having them singing on the record is like having Keith Richards and Ron Wood singing with you," says Lanegan. "I've known Duff and Izzy for quite a while. I was sort of a houseboy for Duff and his wife for a long time."

SEP. 11 "Hey I'm heading to New York on Sunday to help record some of Jesse Malin's new demos with my friend Richard Fortus, then it's back home to Los Angeles. And look for me and the Figgs to possibly do this all over again in November! Nothing concrete right now, but keep checking back, and I'll let you know."


Velvet Revolver are testing out more producers. After recording "Slither" with Bob Ezrin, the band tackled "Loving the Aliens (Sometimes)" last week in Los Angeles with Josh Abraham, and have also recorded the song "Fall to Pieces" with Douglas Grean...


When the Offspring decided to call their new album Chinese Democracy, many thought it a foolish move. Now the band itself couldn't agree more. The follow-up to 2000's Conspiracy of One will now be called Splinter and is expected to arrive November 11. After the Offspring gave their LP the same name as the seemingly imaginary Guns N' Roses album, production ground to a halt, according to their official Web site. ...
