Downloading now.. ill let you know what I think.

Ok.. not too bad at all.. instrumentally you certainly didn't fuck it up, but vocally I don't think your voice suited the song at all.

Did you use an old demo as the backing?

no instrumental version. I added my vocal on it. I made my own version with my own personal voice. I didn't want to sound like Axl or to immitate him. I just wanted to sound like nesquick, like me. Do you like it?

Ok. Downloaded and listened to it 3 times now.

I liked the playing a whole lot.. Though it was very close to the original. The solos were almost identical to the ones on Appetite. Even the fills were very similar. But if I guessed correctly, that was you were going for there. The sounds could've used a bit more bass, could've been a bit heavier, but then again that's only my opinion and it's not my recording so it's not up to me. The singing was not to my taste at all. Not saying that it would've been off key, just that the voice wasn't to my taste.

All in all. I liked it. It's very impressive.. Like I said, very much like the original. The vocals were different. I guess that's what you meant by "some of your ideas". I'd like to know if you play all the instruments yourself, or did you use some virtual instruments for the drums or bassline??

Edited to add: Ok, so it only had vocals from you.. Well.. Like I said. It's different. But I didn't like the singing that much. But you know, the standard (the original) is pretty good, so you'd have to be godlike to do better than that...

my answer is just above? Wink. As I said, I don't have the same voice as Axl, so I just made my own version. Maybe it's a little bit difficult for pure guns n' roses fans because you have listened to that song with Axl's vocals for more than 10 or 15 years. So maybe it's difficult to hear different vocals on that song for you.

I have the possibility to have different type of vocals: I made a cover of Knockin' on heaven's door, with a totally different type of voice, more soft, here it is if you want to compare: http://perso.wanadoo.fr/slashfrance/thexperience/nesquick_kohd.zip

Problem is that you are European and generally it sounds a bit silly when europeans try and do american vocal songs.  Best stick to your own language.

Music is pretty good tho...

I dont agree. I'm Greek and also a singer and the only stuff I can sing is songs like knocking on heavens door, wanted(dead or alive), songs from the eagles, lynyrd skynyrd, zz top and stuff like that(good old-school rock).
It doesnt matter where you're from, it matters where your head is at Wink beer

about the song... the vocals are interesting from a certain point of view ok

I hope it wasn't a diss, cos it takes a lot of courage to allow anyone and everyone to hear your own music and emotions which mean a lot to you, regardless of ability.

Anyway im downloading the KOHD cover now, ill let you know. Respect to you dude.

woaaaaaah D calm down. wait for him to respond don't get ahead of yourself. When he said "did you get singing lessons from D?" he may have meant that you sound similar to nesquick, not necesarrily that you both sucked or anything like that.

if he is trying to put you down.......well.......a 1........a 2.........a 1 2 3 4 *cue music*

here's a little song i wrote
you might want to sing it note for note
don't worry, beeeeeeee happy

in our life we have some trouble
when you worry you make it double
don't worry, beeeeeeeeeeeeeeee happy

the land lord says your rent is late
he may have to litigate
dont worry, be happy

ain't got no cash aint got no style
ain't got no girl to make you smile
don't worry, beeeeeeeee happy

ooooooooowweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee heeeeeeeewwwwwweeeeeeeeeeee wweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeee

*oddy play's completely wild and flashy solo that has nothing to do with the song*

rock on!

seriously though don't give a fuck what people think ok

Recorded yesterday, hope you'll like it. I tried to do my best. I think my vocals are much better here than in Jungle. I'm the singer.
