How long in advance did they announce the show? etc .... I wasn't following GNR back then the way I am now. I was thinking the other day what show would have been better to see, the 01/01/01 show, or the first hammerstein show

GNR had become almost a myth - there were so many rumours about what Axl was doing and what he looked like. Then they blasted out a great concert (audio is available) with 4 unheard songs. A lot of the reviewers were creeped out by the Buckethead and Finck image, but all the ones Ive read praised the bands abilities.
