2007 AND 2011 HTGTH Fantasy Football Champ!

« on: November 27, 2010, 07:51:50 PM »

I was just surfing around on YouTube yesterday and came across a performance I had never seen before.  Michael Jackson "Billie Jean Live at Motown 25 HD."
Yes, I know it's lip-synching...but Goddamn!  If you can dance like that I will let it slide!  When he broke out the Moonwalk for the 1st time on tv, people went nuts.

Any other legendary performances out there you folks would recommend checking out?

Sex Pistols last show in the 1970s, San Fransisco

A Historical show because of how much tension was between the band n because they split up backstage right after it.

Nine Inch Nails live Woodstock 1994.

Musically not their best, but its the show that apparently broke them through into the mainstream, and personally i love the show because of how insane the band are! Constant stage destruction throughout their whole set. Awesome.

Everybody's probably seen it already, but U2's halftime performance at Super Bowl 36.  They paid tribute to all the innocent victims of 9/11.

I have to say, I'm not an expert on bands' live performances, but if I'd been born 20 years earlier, I would've loved to have been at The Stone Roses' 1989 Blackpool Empress Ballroom gig. Ian Brown sounds pretty poor on some songs, but just the feel of the whole thing must've been awesome. Waterfall from that show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HuB8Auh-6U

Also, Nirvana's performance of Where Did You Sleep Last Night from MTV Unplugged is a classic too. Cool

Def Leppards in the Round official gig.

Really cool footage of a band at their peak, i think its also the first time a "In the round" stage was done. Artists that later used this style range from Metallica to U2.

I think my all time favourite legendary performance was Guns N' Roses at Rock In Rio 2001. A new era in GN'Rs history, a rebirth and a new saga.

The largest crowd Guns have ever played to, and just a superb vibe around that show.  Grin

I'm pretty sure Elvis did it a long time before that.
