The star, real name Chad Robert Turton, will appear before a judge on August 25 with regards to the incident in Surrey, British Columbia. Kroeger is charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over .08, reports Yahoo! News. The investigation began after an incident on June 22. It is reported that officers in two police cruisers stopped a car after becoming suspicious due to the way the vehicle was being driven.

When they say his blood alcohol level (BAL) was over 0.8 does that mean his BAL was around 0.8 or the legal limit is 0.8?
Because a BAL of 0.8 is not that bad. Thats only like one and half drinks or so.

he probably started drinking after watching a tape of himself from saturdays show. I couldn't get over how bad they were, especially their stage presence. Kroeger was speaking like he had never been in front of a crowd before. it was really cringe worthy. It was like "lets see how many times I can say "FUCK" and "SHIT" and hope the crowd cheers b/c cursing is so awesome  " Really sad/pathetic. all their songs sounded the same too, i thought they did just one big medley hahaha |

i used to dig nickleback when they were a smaller band before they got huge in america- i remember they used to play in a bars, in one year they went from a shitty rundown bar to selling out our arena
they got some real decent tunes- but i hav'nt enjoyed them or any of the music since "how you remind me" hit the radio every 10 seconds- as far for him drunk driving... big deal
