Post by: erose on October 20, 2004, 09:06:06 AM i almost bought a few les pauls that had broken necks, both customs and standards and what they say is that if the reparation is done by a professional it won't affect playing, tuning or sound, in fact the neck is stronger where it first broke than an unbroken neck. the question is: will you be comfertable with a guitar you know has been banged pretty hard? :peace:

If you can't then, I'd say don't get it, because you really can't tell at all what's underneath that paint. It could (not saying it is mind) be a really shoddy repair job. If though, you know for a fact that it was done by a good luthier, and the guitar plays fine then there should be no problem at all. Title: Re: guitar reparation...
