I saw a gibson custom 1957 reissue... it has a reparation here....

he did insert a 5cm steel soul...

my question is... is this a SHITTY guitar now, or it's impossible to notice any difference with a not broken one ?

thanks in advance...  :peace:

i almost bought a few les pauls that had broken necks, both customs and standards and what they say is that if the reparation is done by a professional it won't affect playing, tuning or sound, in fact the neck is stronger where it first broke than an unbroken neck. the question is: will you be comfertable with a guitar you know has been banged pretty hard?  :peace:

the answer to that question is that the only  way to get a reissued 1957 gibson les paul custom is at the low price of this axe... U$1400 (against 2500 for a gibson les paul custom black)

The steel soul was inserted in the neck by a professional... so it's fucking good what you just tell me

you did convince me  :peace:

can you get to play the guitar?  If you can then, play it, see if it stays in tune, see what the intonation is like etc...
If you can't then, I'd say don't get it, because you really can't tell at all what's underneath that paint.  It could (not saying it is mind) be a really shoddy repair job.

If though, you know for a fact that it was done by a good luthier, and the guitar plays fine then there should be no problem at all.
