Yeah, it looks to be shot from the crowd. The rumored pro shot dvd which was to be released in Japan was never produced. Any rumors to the contrary are wrong. But this appears to be fanshot. Interesting. I would love to see this of course.

i can`t see any reason he`d post a pic taken out of the crowd, if he actually had the possibility to post a real screenshot.

Could always be an fan made video of Vegas rather than a pro-shot. I'm fairly certain no one is gonna get to see that pro shot anytime soon although I'd be more than happy to be proved wrong!

Maybe the new pic is actually a teaser for something else, such as a DVD, pro shot or aud shot? Who knows?

Even if that's the case though, it's gonna be traded among the "elite", and regular fans will not see it before months or years. Unless the guy is a sharing-spirited guy. That would be nice.

Yesterdaze posts at the Bar somewhat frequently, approximately 120 posts. He listed his location as Mississippi on his ezboard profile.

The vegas dvd listings only appeared at an online store in Japan, but as some here can attest, the listing was pulled when the distributor realized that there was no artist permission to produce them. They were not simply ever made, they were never considered by Axl for release. Basically a huge false alarm.

If it was an audience shot he still could have posted a screen shot instead of a picture taken with a camera. The fact that the peoples arms in front of the shot are lighted proves it's from a regular camera and not a video camera.

That is not entirely accurate. The DVDs were produced. It was listed on amazon.co.jp and it disappeared the very day of the release because according to Amazon, the band wanted to release the DVD simultaneously with the new album. They gave permission to produce them, but not to release them. They exist somewhere and are probably being stored in a warehouse in Japan - or have been destroyed (which I hope is not the case).

the picture he posted is not a screenshot off the dvd, it just means he's referring to that concert, thats all.

I just don't get it.. trading amongst the 'elite'.. hoarding stuff.. GN'R fans have gone through so much waiting/suffering (alright suffering is a strong word) and love the band. I just don't get why fans don't want to share with other fans. Do they love the attention? It's a sad life for them if that's the case. One day they will grow old and wonder what the point of keeping all this stuff to themselves was.

If it's the same guy that post at the bar, I'll vouch for him too.   I met him in Las Vegas ands talked to him at the Minneapolis show.  He's a hell of a nice guy and I am certian that if he aquires this show he will do right by the fans.

There was at least 1 crowd shot camera to the right of stage the first night, a really tall guy who was a NIN fan.  I talked to him for only a sec.  I am still shocked there has been no audio...I saw 2 people who were trying to record.  Security was non-existent the first night, the second night they were a little more thorough on the patdowns.

I think this thread is referring to the HOB (warm up to Rio) gig.

Although I agree that I am surprised nothing has surfaced from the second round of Vegas gigs.

Bah, you're right its the HOB show.  Not nearly as exciting as the first night at the hard rock.  We already have the audio from this, so I guess I am not as excited for this video as I would be the shows at the Hard rock.  It was a good show, but video of the first night at the hard rock where Axl goes balistic during OMG (Finck gets very pissed as well) would be much better to own.  Let's see whay are man Yesterdaze can deliver.

guys im just saying this from experiance and from what i've seen on this board dont talk shit to people, call the liars, or anything bc we have had some very rare stuff come through here before and had almost made some deals but several people always ended up ruining it for us all so please guys wait till they give us prove never doubt anything please idc if you doubt them or make fun of them after its proven false or w/e but dont till they release stuff ok??

just do what i said guys we have had 2 much rare stuff come through here and have never got any of it because of someone/some people who always decided to mess it up for everyone else so stay calm and in the words of axl rose/izzy stradlin have a little patience lol

The Guns N Roses 01-01-01 New Years Eve DVD was once

in our sales solicitation book because the third party got the

release right and decided to use our distribution system.  However,

it turned out that the third party didn't have the artist approval;

as the result, the release was cancelled.


The confusion could be caused by that the release information was

not deleted completely after the cancellation was made.


As the product was not our label, the above is all we know and

we can tell.

It doesn't mean it was never produced though. There's a good chance it was ready to go then they didn't get the band's approval so they called it quits just before the release.

Like Chinese Blues already said, this is not a screen cap. You can see the flash reflecting in people's arms, it was just a regular photo cam.

It is possible but I think the burden of proof would be on those who think it was produced. I really have not seen any evidence that they were made; the email suggests that the item's existence never proceeded beyond a sales blurb on the website.
