It was posted on March 31st.  I guess I didn't get the memo about April fools being a 48 hour event instead of 24 hours.

Anyway, I love the way Robin and Axl choose their words in the recent press releases.  Both are very intelligent and witty.

Not only that, its only a 12 hour event. April Fools only lasts til 12pm. Then you're supposed to admit to any joke!

This statement doesn't mean much to me.  Just lip service.  The idea that Axl would ever tour again, seems ludicrous.  A one off gig maybe, but a tour?  He's not capable of that.

And your not capable of realizing that Robin is one of Axl's best friends and u have no clue on what axls and gnr plans are.

Those messages were really cool.  How hard could that have been for Robin and Axl?  And as is evident from the above posts, they go a long way.

Pot, meet kettle

Actually, GN'R plans are well known. Axl has said he plans to tour for a long time once the album is released. People then started saying "no, he doesn't even have one album let alone the ones he plans to release after" or "he is too old to tour now". So the point kind of always gets lost.

And now Robin is confirming those plans in his letter ("to tour and to tour").

No, I'm really not kidding.  I really don't know why year after year, people think this is part of Axl's grand plan.  Bottomline, Robin works for Axl.  For me, it has nothing to do with his age, he is just too emotionally fragile to pull off a successful tour.  Performing live has always proven a difficulty for him, not that he's not great, he is, but I don't think he even likes doing it.  If you're consistently late and unreliable, something tells me that he subconciously doesn't want to be there.  And that's fine with me.  I'm too old to stay up that late anyway.

He may perform certain gigs in the future, that would be nice.  But I feel comfortable in saying that Axl will never tour again.  People should realize that.

Robin's a class act.  I hope while he's out there touring he has the time to photograph the world for us.  He's a man of many talents.
