Question for you gnrslave...how long was their set the two times you saw them? I saw them once on this tour and they were excellent, but they only played for a little more than an hour.

hey rob, the irving plaza show was 1hr 15 minutes, but the starland show was even shorter, only like 50 min-1hr at most, it (starland) was the last show b4 they cancelled a few dates cuz of joshs illness though. i was just glad they played, there were rumblings going around that they werent even gonna go on, but they did and while it was a short set, it was still awesome!

Yeah, it was a short set at Starland...that was the one I was at.  I timed it at about an hour and ten minutes.  I didn't realize Josh was sick though.  I guess we're lucky we got to see them at all.

man I just listened to 15 for the first time in over a week, and this album really flows.

What do you guys think will be the next single?  Carousel or Sorry?

Of course we'd all prefer rockers to be singles but that doesn't happen in the radio world so I'm guessing 'sorry' will be their next 'for the movies'.

If they don't release "Sorry" the album will flop.

Period.

Yeah I think you're right from a selling standpoint.  I'm trying to not listen to Sorry just because I know that's all we're going to be hearing on top 40 radio the next 6 months.

haha... i was kinda close... thanks for the correction

also i think Next to you will be the next single... i'm not sure if thats official or not.. but there is a video for this... i'll try to find a link for it... i think that its a good choice for a second single... then release sorry. carousel or everything.. as a third... thats a pretty good 1,2 ,3 punch..
would it be completely assinine to rerelease riddin and a slow song from time bomb?  i mean.. once this album runs it course.. i think there are some really good songs on that album too that got totally over looked when they released.. porno star was funny but a terrible song to release.. timebomb is an awsome song too.... so is slammin

Yeah I agree with you on Next 2 You as a single, I think it will be released third however, and then if it gets to a fourth it'll be Carousel.  I don't think record companies have time to sit on a top 40 hit like Sorry, although it may be different with these guys since they're independent.

That's cool about the video for N2Y, I didn't know that.

i definitely agree with sorry as the third single, next 2 u is the second single as they already played it on cd usa and have a n2u e card thingy on their site.  if they were to go 4 singles deep (which i think they definitely could), i would love to see brooklyn as the 4th single, but thats probly cuz im a new yorker lol!

looks like buckcherry got signed by atlantic records.. this is great news for the band.. hopefully this will push them into the mainstream.. here is the article

Acclaimed Rockers Buckcherry Ink With Atlantic Records; Deal Launches With Current Hit Album, "FIFTEEN"

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 05/10/2006 -- Acclaimed rock 'n' roll band Buckcherry has joined Atlantic Records via a long-term deal with Eleven Seven Music. The worldwide pact (excluding selected territories) launches with the band's current hit album, "FIFTEEN," which will be marketed by Lava/Atlantic Records effective immediately.

Atlantic Head of A&R Andy Karp commented: "The reemergence of Buckcherry is an exciting moment in modern rock 'n' roll. They are a great band that has yet to realize their full potential, and 'FIFTEEN' is a fantastic record that is already bringing them the recognition and success they have long deserved. We are thrilled to welcome Buckcherry into the Atlantic family."

Allen Kovac, CEO of Eleven Seven Music, noted: "The first lesson in artist development is make a great CD. Buckcherry has done that with Eleven Seven, and we are excited to be working with the Atlantic team on taking this CD to the next level."

"FIFTEEN," the band's first studio album in four years, was released in the U.S. last month on Eleven Seven Music in association with ADA, a Warner Music Group company. Featuring the current rock radio smash, "Crazy Bitch," the album debuted at #2 on the Independent Album Chart, #9 on Top Alternative Albums (highest debut of the week), as well as #48 on the Billboard 200, marking the band's best sales week and chart position to date. The single has bulleted into the top five at active and mainstream rock radio, into the top thirty at alternative rock outlets, and is continuing to build momentum.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1995, Buckcherry broke onto the national scene in 1999 with the release of their self-titled debut album. The critically acclaimed set scored such Modern Rock hits as "Lit Up," "Check Your Head," and "For The Movies," while fans and industry insiders alike celebrated the band's refreshingly direct, no-holds-barred return to pure rock 'n' roll. In the summer of 2001, Buckcherry released "TIME BOMB," which was followed by a stint opening for one of their long time heroes, AC/DC.

In 2005, following a three-year hiatus, Buckcherry reformed with founding members Josh Todd (vocals) and Keith Nelson (guitar), who are joined by new recruits Stevie D. (guitar), Jimmy Ashhurst (bass), and Xavier Muriel (drums). "FIFTEEN" is titled after the number of days that it took the band to record the album.

Buckcherry is currently in the midst of an extensive North American tour. For more information, please go to www.buckcherry.com

Buckcherry deserve all the success for making one of the best albums of 2006. With Atlantic the band may get the media push they've always deserved !

Yeah their album debuted at 48, and D made fun of that... thats #48 on a indie label... lmao.

That's really good actually. I can't believe he dissed a solid rock album. then it's maintained 58-67 on the charts. I call Gold status in 3 months.

I love this cd
