Ok, so we all love HTGTH......but is it the best????

one that isn't around anymore is www.lostrose.com - that was probably one of the first gnr websites i used to visit, and i actually have the image from the website saved on my computer....it was cross with 2 roses growing around it, pretty cool.? actually, the picture still comes up, but you can't do anything on the site.

I dont think there was a forum on there, but i did use it to get news and info about GNR.

i forgot about this site, but i just saw a link to it again.? I remeber i used to use it all the time.? I feel it is probably the best site to get any information about any album/song that Guns has ever made/performed (atleast up to like '94 or '95? - not really any new stuff).?

Jarmo has some good info in his release section, but its no where near as extensive as www.gnrinfo.tk.? one thing jarmo does have is a section on Chinese Democracy, which gnrinfo doesnt.

Also, one reason I started this thread was just to check out some other quality sites/messages boards.? ?I love HTGTH, but there are alot of noobs and random posters on here that clutter this message board and make it tough to read through alot of these posts.? there are also alot of people that post just to increase there post count (jarmo himself??? j/k).? So reading through a long thread to get to the point of information or a good opinion can be a long and tedious process.


maybe this thread should be moved to the main section??? how 'bout it Kiki or Pandora??? or is this section so inactive that you hardly ever need to moderate itt?? probably too much action on that main Guns N' Roses Board that you check out.

I don't go on other Gn'R websites, I used to go on a lot of sites, but this is by far one of the most reliable. My friend asked me to join his Gn'R board the other day, and I did, but I really can't get used to other boards.

I still think its one of the best  : ok:  and of course this one.

my personal fav is prolly thenewguns, if anything because its hater free and everyone there has stuck with this band since day # fucking one.

HTGTH and Sp1at are my favorites.

Sp1at might get a bad press, but they're nice people, its kind of quiet and peaceful (unlike MYGNR for example which is a head fuck) and its kinda fun too.

Before I found HTGTH there was a website called 'Lost Rose' - anyone remember that?

My favorite is by far HTGTH. Love the place. Everyones pretty cool.. my only complaint might be that its kinda crowded sometimes.

I tried out ROV for a little bit and just didnt enjoy it... it wasn't updated with news enough.. there wasnt enough members to keep conversation interesting.. ect. It was a cool site and even though I didnt like it that much I like the people there and I wouldnt bash it. Cool chatroom too.

MyGNR is too cluttered for me.. kinda a bunch of bs

I havent been on sp1at enough to generate an opinion.. its a nice site though. Just too rumor based.

Er... other sites I havent really checked out too much, but they seemed solid.

Yea jack I will admit we were a little low on the member count.. Things are really turning around for us now though.. people are actually posting now.. We just hit our 20k post mark.. 8500 posts this month.. and its bound to go up! anyways thanks for the kind words..

Now THAT is hilarious. Sp1at definitely had a 'National Enquirer' vibe to it, which may have been a reason for the drop in activity there. But you're right, it wasn't too bad. During that brief period of time when they basically only dealt in real news I thought it was a turn in the right direction, and actually gave kudos to Gigger for the turn around. But soon it was back to all the insider crap. But Sp1at had some cool members. Some long time members from here were members there as well.

Actually there are many good GN'R sites. The ones I mentioned are the ones my spare time allows me to visit lol.

You're getting confused. www.gnrfrance.net is a web site, not a forum. If I'm using links on the site I shouldn't be using (I try to pay attention to this so it's unlikely but nobody's perfect), just let me know and I'll remove them. I usually post stuff I upload myself, or stuff my friends have recorded/ uploaded.

As for my forum (gunsnroses.ch/gnr), I try to monitor links as well, but if you've seen some leeching there you can let me know.
