I have over 100 GNR bootlegs and have tossed out probably 50 others (shit sound)and it seems the audience recordings can vary from great to shit..On the UYI tour, mostly shit......it also seems that the GNR Boolteg lists that have all the lineage of each show described give great grades to horrible sounding audience recordings...I have gotten many a boot because I was told A- sound sourced from analog gen only to find it was absolute trash....Donnington 88 anyone? richfield 91 anyone? ritz 91, etc etc.............

So basically for the big time traders and collectors it would be cool if you post the Best sounding, clearest audience recordings/DATS of the GNR bootleg library to make it easier for people to know which shows to get...I will start

This is a really great idea, and it's much appreciated cause I collect from a lot of bands and don't have time to look into everything to check what I'm getting. It's great to have a best of list to start off from.

1987.09.04 - Open Air Theatre - San Diego, CA
1987.10.27 - The Paradise - Boston, MA (turn the treble on your stereo down a bit, otherwise sounds great)
1987.10.31 - The Horizon - Syracuse, NY
1988.07.30 - Val Du Lacs Ampitheatre - Mears, MI
1988.08.20 - Donington, U.K. (Don't Fuckin' Kill Each Other bootleg source sounds a lot better then the other source)
1988.12.07 - Nakano Sunplaza - Tokyo, JP (there is both SBD and AUD sources and both sound excellent)
1991.05.09 - Warfield Theatre - San Francisco, CA (new source from master, just turned up last year)
1992.02.01 - Compton Terrace - Chandler, AZ
1992.10.06 - Kingdome - Seattle, WA
1993.05.29 - Milton Keynes, U.K.
1993.06.19 - Cologne, Germany

There are more but here are some that immediately come to mind.? What sucks is that most of the 1991 gigs with Izzy don't sound that great.  Those were some of the coolest and more interesting sets of the Illusions tours.  Not to mention that Gilby Clarke didn't even bother to learn the real rhythm parts for alot of the songs.  Also, make sure you are getting lossless (WAV, FLAC) files if you are downloading them.? For audience source bootlegs mp3 versions almost always sound noticeably worse.? When I replaced my mp3 boots with lossless I was surprised to find that quite a few shows that sounded like shit on mp3 sound great lossless.

That's pro shot/recorded  from pay per  view. Not an audience recording.
