I've been lookin to buy an electric guitar for some time. And now I have an extra $300 laying around  ok so I figured now is a good time to pick one up. I've been looking at guitar packages that come with everything you need. One that I see often this one (Link).

Is this a good starting Guitar? Or do you know of a better set up? + any Additional Info will help. Thanks.

it really depends on a lot.

if you KNOW you are gonna play for along time and you have the money, dont bother buying some cheap package...

buy a Epiphone, Squire or B.C Rich (or ESP)... they are cheap and sound good! not sure the price though, but they are quality...

as for an amp, if you want some loudness for a SMALL amount of money, buy Behringer! dont think you get across cheaper amps.. and they sound really good too. i have an Behringer bass 120watt's amp and it was really really cheap.... and its awesome!

but i dont know the prices in dollars, so i cant help you much more than that....

but you could always buy some cheaper not so good sounding guitars for begining with...

btw, the link didnt work

Or

Which one and why?
Any additional info will help also. Thanks.

i think the LP studio is a nice start, or a standard Fender strat, or a BC Rich mockingbird

I think u should save some money. For a Epi LP Standard for example. And for amps. why not buy a Kustom Quad 65 dfx, sure its alot of money (guitar: around 400$ i think and amp: i bought my new in sweden for 2500 :- i think it will cost u about 250 - 300 $.) AS told alot of money but still, u get quality...
