I KNOW the 360 games are region encoded. I'm pretty sure the WII games are, too. The only console games that aren't region encoded are the PlayStation 3 games, and that doesn't count Blu-ray and regular DVD movies. So I guess that it's time to give your console(s) a little fix - but since it's cheap and easy it shouldn't be a problem.
