I would like to buy a microphone stand like Axl's. I've been browsing the net for 2 days and still haven't found anything. Does anyone of you know where I can buy one like that, even a replica? I've posted this question in some message boards and this is the answer I always got. But I bleieve I'm not the first who asks for this and I'm pretty sure there are replicas. Does anyone know where I could find a replica or a stand similar to this one. All stands I found are either boom stands (those you can fold) or straight stands but I'd like to have one not so thin...like Axl's. thanks! Why don't you custom make one yourself, that's esentially what you're asking regardless of whether you find one or not. There are some artists out there that have done this already. The top of the stand is a Freddie Mercury copy allowing the top half to be taken out of the bottom main support, which is simply a metal shaft with a steering wheel welded on. Not hard to do if you find a custom metal works shop, or call the company that makes a stand you like and ask them to do it for you. Sounds like you have the money to do it, so there ya go... Why do you want one like his anyway? Be original, be creative, design your own! AA.
