I have this question in my head since yesterday. I' don't see any of these bands reunite in the near future except if one original member dies.

But I say GN'R would rather renuite than Pink Floyd would.

I'd say both...but I certainly want to see/experience this new version of GN'R before I make my a decision to dismantle it.

So I guess I would be hesitant at first to regroup GN'R but I certainly would LOVE to see Roger Waters and David Gilmore shake hands again and tour on both the old and new material Pink Floyd has offered it's fans (perhaps even a new album of new material mixed in).

This is a GN'R forum, what answer are you expecting to get?  I couldn't care less if Pink Floyd got back together, they must all be close to sixty by now...

Pink Floyd.  I'd love to see what those guys could do if they got back together.

Gn'R, on the other hand, I don't want to reunite because I want to see what the new band can do.   The old band reuniting would be cool, but the possibilities of what they could do seem so much more limited than what the new band can do.  Maybe after the new band releases four or five albums, then the old band can reunite for a one-off gig or something.   ok

It's a good question but Axl and Roger both think they can do better. I'm mean they both have good back up musicians. Buckethead and Snowywhite are great guitartist that can get the job done. Nevertheless it won't be satifisted for fans to not see Slash and Gilmour. I though don't see Axl giving in and going to slash for a reunion if anything Axl needs to get Izzy back to make it happen.

Axl is not too far behind roger since they don't give in for the money Smiley

The Pink Floyd is the best band ever IMO

& Gimour did go out & do stadium tours without Roger Waters with the Pink Floyd name  Grin . Waters was the lyric man too & thought the name would die when he left. Gilmour has proven that wrong with "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" & the "The Divison Bell" albums & stadim tours. Selling Millions. I got to see Pink Floyd in 94. BTW, "The Divison Bell" was recored on Gilmours houseboat  Shocked ---   so talk about a come back album?

I seen a couple Waters shows too which are really good. but I think these guys have a worse relationship than are friend Axe & Slashy
but it's geting close.  Did I mention I seen Floyd  Grin

i would rather see the Floyd reunite because an event with gnr reuniting becomes lame after a couple months.

Pink Floyd, if your know a little about them, Gilmour was standing up for Wright, and that really triggered the rift between himself and Waters.  Waters kicked Wright out, and then proceeded on doing a solo album under the Pink name.  Tension between Gilmour and Waters became unbearable once Wright and Mason sided with Gilmour.  Waters left the band and asked them to retire the name and they didnt and made 2 more albums.  I think that if Roger initiated the idea, it would happen.  I think the other 3 are afraid of Roger just being an asshole again. The good thing is that they are all wise enough to realize that a reunion wouldnt be that bad.

I agree that GNR should reunite with buckethead before all the old guys.  I've seen the new version twice so far (hopefully), and I thought they kicked ass.  I really hope Bucket comes back.  As far as Floyd goes.  They're a great band, one of the best in my opinion, just for the reason that they influenced so many others to make great music than any other, but I don't think it would be as big a deal as GNR reuniting, of course I'm incredibly biased, and yeah this is the wrong message board for that question.  The question's moot anyway cause niether one will.  But how about getting Winger back together, then everyone that wasn't there can experience incredibly horrible music.

people the question is not who would YOU rather see reunite, because that would be obvious. the question is who do you think would rather reunite, Axl and Slash or Roger and Dave.

i can't really answer because i don't know the history of roger and dave's feud.

I think hell will freeze over before PF or the original Guns re-unite.  Roger Waters and PF will never come to terms. Just like Axl and Slash and Izzy. Izzy wont be in a band ever again with Axl, Slash has enough money so he doesnt have to put up with Axl's dictatorship.  Personally I would rather see the Guns Re-unite. I would Rather see Judas Preist re-uinte then PF, (And they are and I'm gonna be seeing them) I think Roger gives a hell of a cover show, but they arent Guns. You dont need to smoke alot of dope to get into Guns Music

Do you know the "Hell Freezes Over" DVD by the Eagles?  yes Don Henley once said hell would rather freeze over than the Eagles would reunite.

This is true but they are both great solo artists. Roger Waters "Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking" is great. I also own his live DVD it's great.

David Gilmour also has a great song called "There's No Way Out of Here" Kinda reminds me of Comfortably Numb.

I'm gald one of my most favorite bands I grew up ?listening to reunited. They rescued Live Aid from being butchered by shit artists because modern popular ?music is un-talented and is an embarrasment . So they said 20 years ago ,Live Aid was the day music changed forever so I hope a new music generation will dawn soon after Live 8.

Well people looks like we are in for a long wait, 25 years add another 10 because it's GN'R lol.

Every other band that has fallen out, has eventually got back.  I hope they do it before they are in their 50's though!

Pink Floyd.....wow, what a performance. It sounded unbelievable and was truly the definition of "epic". I was floored. beer ps The thing I love about Floyd is that their music translates well with age. In other words, Waters and Gilmour didn' look silly out their playing those songs. Unlike the Stones, where Jagger and Richards look like cartoons while performing their old classic rockers. Hard rock is a young man's game and stuff like the Stones and say AFD era Gnr can't be performed as well at 45-50-60 years old. The artist is too refined by that point. Whereas Floyd, the music was refined when they created it in their early twenties to 30's. It still has the same feel at 60 that it did at 25. Now, our little redhead should strive to make more music like that at his advanced age-songs like Breathe and Comfortably Numb and Mother. One, that is what he is good at-epic type stuff and two, it would allow him to perform over the next decade. To me, he looks silly now performing afd and looks much more comfortable with stuff like Madagascar and The Blues. Just my two cents.- yes

Pink Floyd was one of my fav as a child and I know Axl  would say the same. I wouldn't make a choice on who I rather see reunite cause I think we've only seen a 1\4 of what Axl can do. Those old GNR days are gone and locked way deep inside, yep I'll miss it. The times are much different these days and if you were there to witness floyd and gnr both you've been blessed. I'd now much rather see Axl and New GNR more than anything!

Guns N Roses by far.  Pink Floyd reuniting for the Live 8 was pretty cool, but I still think their music is shit. I think pretty much everybody on this board would give damn near anything to see Axl and Slash perform together again.

You think Pink Floyd's music is shit?? I guess you've never heard 'Dark Side of the Moon'. I agree with you that a GNR reunion would be much better, and it would be more relevant. But C'MON! How can you say Pink Floyd sucks! I would actually put 'Dark Side of the Moon' in the top 10 albums of all time. If CD is even just half as good as this album, I'll be happy.

is this stating which band is more likely to re-unite or who would i prefer to re-unite? If its most likely, im going with Pink Floyd because they already did re-unite. Preferably, I'd have to also go with Pink Floyd because a GN'R reunion would mean too much tendion between the guys onffstage and possibly onstage, although in contradiction to that i would love to see GN'R bury thier grudges and get all the old guys to re-unite, that would be one awsome show.  beer

Maybe Axl and Syd Barrett have more in common than we think.

I'd rather see axl get back together with whatever incarnation of "gnr" he has going on right now and just release an album.

Folks, Floyd live maybe the most incredible machine ever in rock.? Check out Gilmour's second solo, and for that matter the whole performance, of Comfortably Numb by Floyd at Live 8.? Magical!!

When it asks in the upper corner of the pop-up (you may have to hold down CTRL the whole time to override the inherent Windows pop-up-blocker) select "broadband" and it will play.

this is a no-brainer for me, Guns N' Roses hands down

I believe it would be the re-union to end all re-unions, an absolute dream

definately guns n' roses. i'm not usually one to talk about a reunion because i know there's not a snowball's chance in hell things would work out between them anytime soon, but just seeing them on stage together once again would be absolutely fantastic. i think it would be the coolest reunion ever, just imagine axl, slash, duff, izzy and steven together on stage again. even matt. wow. smoking

August, I think if an 'original' GNR reunion ever happens, I think it will be without Steven or Matt, Axl will probably want to pick someone new. It might even be one of his conditions for a reunion to take place. Steven has said alot of shitty remarks towards Axl, and he probably wont forgive him too easily. Same with Matt.

yeah there was a topic discussing that

i agree, neither would probably get back on board
I could see Izzy, Duff and possibly even Slash reconciling with Axl, Sorum and Adler have burned their bridges for good with I reckon

ahh, perhaps it's all wishful thinking

Pink Floyd. I don't want to see Axl and Slash on stage together again. I saw that already. Its done. Played out. Unless its celebrity boxing. I would give Axl 50 bucks just to stop that from ever happening. If the day comes when he needs to do that... that is the day I say peace and throw away all the GNR cd's I have. Of course I still have them on my itunes/ipod...but thats beside the point. Fuck that.
