Guess it is my night for random topics, but I have been wondering this for the past year.  No "band" has ever had the mytique and legendary lore in the history of rock than Guns n Roses.  Pretty much an out of control freight train that self destructed led by the most powerful singer since Jim Morrison.  My question is this.  Will they ever produce a Hollywood film on Guns n Roses?  If so, who would play the different memebers of the band?  And lastly, will it happen while all of the members are still alive or will it happen years and years from now?

Yeah - you may be right - just like they did with The Doors, La Bamba, Buddy Holly, etc.  LOL...Wow those three bands just don't go together.

There is no movie in GNR lore. What would it be about? "In a world where music is totally lame, one band will scrape off their make-up, stop teasing their hair, and change the face of ROCK. . . for five minutes. This summer, witness JUNKIE AND THE REDHEAD; THE IMPLOSION OF THE MOST DANGEROUS BAND ON EARTH!"

You could probably make a pretty good mockumentary about Axl's quiet years, "The Hunt For Bigfoot" style.

The break up of a huge band, and the shifting relationships and personalities of the members would make a great movie.

The Doors, great movie, but what really happened there? The frontman getting lost in drugs and madness. Pissing of police and crowds at shows?

If that can make a good movie, so can GN'R. They're filled with scandals.

You never know... Axl had said years ago that he was interested in acting, that he had someone looking out for parts for him. ?He also said he might write a screenplay someday. ?I believe this was back in the late 80s he said this. ?Also, he seemed really into the filming of the "trilogy" videos, and Without You was supposed to be a feature length movie. ?So someday Axl may have an idea for a movie inspired by his life, or part of his life. ?
But a movie about the rise of an 80s rock band... that in and of itself doesn't sound too interesting. ?
