FYI.? Some, if not all, countries OUTSIDE the USA are showing Season #3 for the first time ... NOT the new season we get to see here.

In The Dude's not-so-humble opinion, "24" got stale half-way into the first season.

The only good thing about that show is this lovely young thing right here!

I watched the season premiere last night and really enjoyed it. Hoping the two hour special again tonight is just as good. :)

Yeah, gypsy, you're right.   My bad.  :-[  I was rushed because I had a few things to do and only had 30 mins left before the show started.  I was mainly thinking about Dot, pilferk, and kujo as they were the biggest posters in the last "24" thread and they all live in the US.

In any case, I really liked it.  I hope it takes some sort of twist because it seems to be a similar plot as the others with just different people.  We'll see - I'm glad that I don't have to wait a week to see the next 2 hrs!  ;D

Glad you enjoyed it, Drew.  ;)

I just found out recently myself that places outside the USA are only now showing Season #3 so I thought I would mention it.

Anyways.... (and without giving away the plot)....

I never liked that one actress even when she was on Third Watch and I really really HATE the acting job by the boss.
The other actress reminds me of Susanne Plushette (sp) from the old old Bob Newhart show.

Oh I agree that she really had no point or place in the series.  I'm just saying Elisha Cuthbert is damn hot.

But her being gone from the show is news to me.  How did they despense with her character?  ???

IMHO, after a somewhat disappointing S3 (good, but not as good as 1 and 2), I think they're back on track this year.  So far, it's been VERY good stuff.

And for those that dislike Erin (the boss)....well, suffice to say you'll be somewhat happy coming up quick...no other spoilers than that.  If you all want more info, find the site called "Ryan's Report".  There's a link to it from spoilerfix.com.

As for Elisha...she wasn't fired.  She was actually asked to return and refused.  Gave the classic "I wanna do movies" response.  Next up for her: "House of Wax" remake with Paris Hilton......

Really, really, really looking forward to the next few eps.

And all you 24 fans...I hope you're watching "lost", too! :)

I'm a fan of elisha since she was on Popular Mechanics for kids  :nervous:.
24 it's excellent Agree on season 3 is kinda dissaponting, but Im looking forward this season here In Ecuador it's gonna be on March.
What's lost about?
Elisha with Paris hilton on a movie?? , I'll have to see that movie on mute.  :hihi:

Lost is about a group of plane crash "survivors" (well, we think survivors...one theory is they're all really dead, but that's a remote possibiliyt) who have crashed on a very strange deserted island. It's on ABC, Wenesday nights at 8 PM. It's one of those very quirky, x-files-y, appointment TV kinda shows.? Great cast, great writing, interesting take on the premise (each episode not only features the "main" story arc about the people on the island, but features backstory on ONE of the "main characters" told in flashbacks).? It's main drawback is, if you'll excuse the pun, if you jumped into the show NOW, you'd be "lost"....though a DVD release of Season 1 is being promised.? ?IMHO, Lost and 24 are the two best shows on US TV right now....

FYI, for those that care, Medium on NBC (10 on Tuesday's...right after 24) ain't bad either.

Oh, and for some great TV that never was...pick up the DVD of the first (and only) 13 episodes of the "failed" Fox show "Wonderfalls".? Great, great, great show that got plunked in an awful (Friday at 9 PM) timeslot and died a horrible, network induced, death.? It's SOOOOOO good, you'll never believe it was on Fox on a week night.

OK, I'm done now. :)

That's the one....4 episodes aired on network TV before the axe fell.....

My wife and I are about 9 eps into the 13 episode run...and it's just fan-freaking-tastic.  If you liked the first 4 eps you saw on TV...order the DVD when/if you can.  They only get better......

Hardly.

Law and Order or it's spin-off Special Victims Unit easily trump 24.

Hell, I'd rather still rather watch reruns of The Simpsons or Seinfeld I've seen a dozen times...

Personal preference: I can't stand Law and Order or ANY of it's spin offs. Yuck, with a capital Y.  Not my cup of tea.

And as much as I love 24, I have to agree...THIS season, it's not the best show on US TV.  That, IMHO, is Lost.  24, though, is a close second. :)

In addition, I think I may be the only person in America who hates to watch Seinfeld reruns....now, The Simpsons?  1 hour of repeats every day or I go into withdrawals. :)

Hahahah, I can't believe I like the same shows as Moron, umm, I mean Mahan.   ;)
Seinfeld and the Simpsons rock.  I do find your love for the Simpsons entertaining, as their writers clearly poke fun at religious folk on a regular basis.  Here's Ned Flanders going crazy, "...but God!  I did everything you told me!  Even the things that contradicted the other things!"  Oh yeah, and don't forget his Noah-like ark when Homer took over the church.  Priceless.

Hey Mahan, I hope you're enjoying the Kool-Aid over there...I can hear the chant right now, "The leader is good, the leader is great, as of this date, I surrender my fate."

With 24, this season and the 1st are tops in my book.  Followed by 2, then 3.

Ditto on the ranking of seasons.  Season 1 is my fav, then, so far, this season (and it could surpass S1..we'll see where it goes), then 2, and finally 3.  S3 was good, but the first 6 to 8 hours just dragged.  It didn't really pick up until that certain someone (I don't want to say, since someone metioned S3 is airing now in some parts of the world) dies.  From that point on, it was much better....

The simpson are Great and Seinfield it's excellent my fave simpson episode The Thompsons, when Homer is in the police station and the officer is trying to explain that his new name is Mr. Thompson (can't spelled it  :-\), and he didn't understand I mean it's hillarius  :hihi:, My fave seinfield episode it's the contest.
My fave 24 season it's 1st and 2nd I really didn't like 3rd one I hope this 4th season its cool.  :peace:

Not bored...I've liked them, though not AS much as the earlier episodes.  I think that stems from the fact that they've focused on some "less interesting" backstories of late.  Charlies and Sawyers last eps were predictable...and in all honesty who cares about Jin?  The action HAS toned down a bit...but trust me, they're just giving us a little breather.  From what I've heard, that all ends next week.

i read a little article about how the new season of 24 pictures  lot of "islamic/arab" bad guys ... and how some people are worried about the bad image it would give to these islamic people , added to the stupid religion they already have (xtianity, judaism .. they're all stupid anyway).

so i don't know.
i never watched it, i'm not fond of non-funny tv shows. and 24 hours ? whats that ? if you take out the time you spend in the shower, the bathroom, walking, driding cars, eating ... you don't have much time to save the world ....

No bathroom breaks, no shower breaks, no eating, and no sleeping.  The time in their cars is usually either worked in creatively (you should see some of the gadgets they've had in the past) or spent on different characters.

As for the Arab "stereotyping"...from what I've heard there will be some interesting revelations on that front by the end of the season.  With 24, not everything is what it seems to be....in fact, usually it's not.  That's what so good about the show.  You can't take anything for granted.

One thing that has always made "24" more than a little implausible is, until recently, there was no Islamic/Arab bad-guys.? The entire show is based on terrorists and...hmmm...what?? Not a Middle-Eastern terrorist in sight until the third season.? It's like watching "The Sopranos" and not seeing an Italian anywhere.? Politically correct perhaps, but unrealistic.

Great Finale for Season 4 last night. Maybe one of the best episodes of any season. I wont post any spoilers, for those that have just started this season but WOW!. Its going to be very interesting next season to see how they continue.

An article in yesterdays New York Post mentioned that the show has been extended for a 5th and 6th season.

BTW, Mia Kirshner(Mandy)?

Not the best picture of her but in this one there is a strong resemblance to Nina, could be a possible storyline for a future season

It really was a great episode...and a great season.

Keiffer has said that next season's "day" is much closer to this season's "day" than any of the previous "days" have been to each other.? He says they are also a LOT further, from a storyline/writing/pre-production sense, at this point in the game, than they've ever been before.  It'll be interesting, since only 5 people supposedly know "the secret" (one being Jack, obviously) how they handle "it" (and yes, I'm being intentionally cryptic to not spoil for others who might be watching)...Especially since 2 of them are no longer going to be part of CTU.

Mia is pretty nice to look at.? If you want to see more of her, check out "The L word" on Showtime.? The show focuses on a group of lesbian women (and no, it's not softcore porn...I mean focuses on their lives, etc...sorta like Queer as Folk) and is pretty good.....
