Well I refused to listen to anything but Mars this weekend, Chii Pepper wise so that it would slowly start to grow on me just like Jupiter pretty much instantly did, and I am now happy to say that I now like, or in some cases, love more than a few tracks off of it, which now means that my overall favorite songs are:

JUPITER

1. Dani California
2. Snow (Hey Oh)
3. Stadium Arcadium
4. Hump de Bump
5. Torture Me
6. Strip My Mind
7. C'mon Girl
8. Hey

MARS

1. Desecration Smile
2. Hard to Concentrate
3. Readymade
4. If
5. Animal Bar
6. Storm in a Teacup
7. Turn it Again

FAVORITES

Wet Sand, Especially in Michigan & 21st Century

= 18/28 songs that I adore ok smoking

I just love the melting pot of different styles represented on each album, first and foremost...

I mean you go from sing-along Dani California, to the beautifully melodic and uplifting Snow, then the ever funky and catchy Charlie,etc...

All musical styles on the two albums are all the things the Chilis have touched on, and even mastered once before...but theres so much depth, and dare I say maturity to these albums, its amazing ok

I haven't gotten Stadium Arcadium yet, but will. My question to you is this:

Is it an album that has 20 something excellent songs or is it an album that should have been condensed into one CD with 15 or 16 songs?

Could they have removed some weaker shit to focus on just one album?

People are always putting their " Illusion " single album wishes together on these sites, but I always thought the way the Illusions were released
was fantastic. Is this album needlessly 2 discs, or not?

Thanks

25 get at least a 9.0 rating

the other 3 are 8.5's

Its incredible and If there is a filler song on the record, I havent heard it.

So far around half the songs on each CD I am struggling to get into. However I really think I'm going to need a few listens, like a lot of albums I think this is one of those that may need a few listens for some people.

I think thats being a tad generous.

Very good album, Frusciante has really upped the ante.

I have to say though, imagine what it would have been like as a single? (much like UYI, an all time classic I believe)

Singer Anthony Kiedis was born and lived in Michigan for part of his childhood.  (He alternated from Hollywood with his dad to Michigan with his mother) and he went there many times when he was having trouble with drugs, or for holidays, etc.

D as much as I disagree with you, and I'm from Kentucky also... I'm living here now, I must say I don't think that S.A. is that good.

The album overall gets a 8.0 from me, but it's not as you say it is.

Peace

he still goes there regularly to visit his mom and other relatives ok

SA is better than the Use Your Illusions though so this doesnt apply.

Its easy to pick 12-14 songs off UYI

There are only maybe 2 or 3 songs I could live without on SA, but I tried to whittle it down to 14 and its impossible.

Dani California
Snow
Charlie
Stadium Arcadium
Slow Cheetah
Especially In Michigan
Wet Sand
Hey
Desecration Smile
Tell Me Baby
Hard To Concentrate
Animal Bar
Make You Feel Better

that is 12 right there but look what u would be leaving out:

Hump De Bump, she's only 18, Strip My mind,21st Century,Warocks,Cmon Girl,Turn It Again,Animal Bar,Death Of A Martian

U cant take those songs off the album so its impossible to make one CD out of Stadium Arcadium.

U take Use Your Illusions, u can  somewhat easily pick the best 14 off it.

Live and Let Die
Dont Cry
November Rain
Dont Damn Me
Coma
Civil War
14 years
Yesterdays
KOHD
Breakdown
Pretty Tied Up
Locomotive
Estranged
You Could Be Mine

D, I'm encouraged and I probably will buy the album, sooner rather than later, but seriously...

There is no way that Dani California is a ten.

Since when does all music have to be fast?

it doesnt, but an almost entire album of slow stuff is kinda boring and lacks the energy of there older songs.
