Yes... I do wish they'd shut up with some of these bullshit stories, too. I really hate the amount of people who are crawling out of the woodwork, selling their crap and profiting from his death. And does it really matter who those kids biological parents are? All that matters is that
he
was the person who was there for them and raised them, regardless. My father isn't the biological father of my brother and sister, but they still treat him as such.
Some things, though, like people celebrating his life and music, etc. I see no problem with that, because it's been nice to finally hear people say positive things about him. It's hardly ever happened over the last 20 years, and the personal attacks were getting more and more cruel and intense as time went on... I'll enjoy the positivity while it lasts.

Legend or not, the coverage is getting quite old. One of my friends became obsessed with him solely because he died, and before that, I never heard a peep from her about MJ. I understand that he was a great performer and musician, but this is getting tiresome.

I can understand why people get tired of the news reports (in the UK, I think it's starting to disappear), but realistically, this
is
a big event. Someone as famous/important/controversial as Michael Jackson dying suddenly is only going to generate huge amounts of coverage.
TBH, I'm not sure what other musician/entertainer would receive so much coverage if they died tomorrow....

Doesn't matter. The only thing that should ever be covered by the news is what's happening in Iraq or Afghanistan.

I think they should cover it but not let it get more coverage than Afghanistan, or Iraq
