All those fuckers bashing axl now will be begging for an interview soon, or putting up all the news to get more fucking hits. People will drag anything way out of proportion for a buck these days.

Good article and to be honest with you, what the hell do you expect journalists to write? "Well it was only a tentative release date so I'm going to defend Axl, the same person who has been working on an album for over a decade." Journalist know, just like all other media outlets, that people do not want to spend an hour reading over the history of Guns N' Roses/Chinese Democracy and why it has not been released. Even though poking fun at Axl may seem like the easy way out, it is the way it is always going to be until the album is released........And at that point, I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of, "We waited for this?"

That's not bad.  They are right.  Nothing this long can be worth the wait.  I just hope CD is released and there is actually another one a year later.  If not, Axl will be 60 when the next album comes out.  I want like 7 albums in the next 15 yrs.

I don't think they are trashing GNR and Axl, just reporting on the situation. They admitted it could be great. It was a fair article. I think they might be more of supporting them than anything. Look at that great picture of Axl. The never comment was just a joke about the time it has took.

Even when they finally release it, people will look back and still think the whole process was a joke.  Seriously, who takes this long to put out an album?

If you don't see that the entire article is pretty much written as  joke then you probably grew up near power lines or something because you aren't that bright.

And when you get down to it, it's still pretty spot on. You haven't been paying much attention to the CD saga if you don't think this album is the crazy one.

I fail to see any standard bashing here.

It could not possibly be worth the wait

No album is worth 15 years of wait. There's too much other music in the world to pick from.

it might not be as bad as everyone expects

They're ready to give a benefit of doubt. Fair enough.

regardless, there is no way in the world it is not the Crazy Album.

I'd really like to hear how someone'd prove it otherwise.

I take this article with a grain of salt. They are actually giving GNR and Axl press. All fans like to think their band is crazy. And the writer is actually right, this is a crazy off the chart. My only hope is the CD is released before they start the shows.

Also, I guess my crew could be considered crazy because we used to walk around downtown Chicago with KFC chicken buckets on our head too. Just to be crazy. Didn't know we would start a trend as this happened like 20 years ago. Damn you ?buckethead. All I had to do was pick up a guitar.

Guess we're crazy too for waiting and hoping.

"It could not possibly be worth the wait, and it might not be as bad as everyone expects".

This, especially the 2nd point, is what everyone forgets about C.D. Just thought I'd point that out.

Although I do accept that many will say that it justifies the wait when it comes out, I would contend that many of those people will have listened with their emotions, and not with their ears.

i dont understand the whole, its not worth the wait thing.

how can something not be worth the wait if you dont actually invest any time/effort/money/etc in it. people involved in it can say they're bored of waiting for it to come out and walk away (bucket) but fans and critics are involved through interest only.

whatever we get is simply a bonus, axl owes us nothing. the record label he owes a bit (13mil) but nothing to us.

i like the "crazy album" concept. it makes you think about which albums might be the "crazy album" in band's catalogues and i always think it's great to re-evaluate and look at music from new perspectives. keeps it fresh.

Because people seem to want to defend Axl Rose's behavior as perfectly normal.

I think he is one of the more talented musicians of the last 20 or so years, but the guy his batshit crazy insane, no doubt. 13 years to make an album is crazy no matter how you slice it up.

Its not worth 13 years, it cost Axl his prime.
Most people think its going to be awful, in fact most reviews i saw for Better (granted its unfinished) were negative.

This article was funny, it pretty much is saying that its the type of album that you dont know what will come of it.  Its not formulaic in any way.  In my opinion thats actually a compliment.

Yeah, it is. The best reviews Smith gets are still covered with disclaimers, "It's good, for a dick-joke movie!"

The whole movie got bad press because it stars Affleck. He's another bad press magnet.

Now we're up to three! Sometimes bad press is just bad press.

This is a good post. Except for the overuse of the stupid axl owes us nothing thing. I agree with 2na, how can we say or anyone if it was worth the wait. Gnr gave us some great music, some time went by (in this case, alot of time) then another album came out. The day it finally gets here, is your life really going to change? No, the same problems of the world will still be here, we can just listen to a new gnr album, thats all. I am sure if Axl really wanted to release 10 albums now, he could have. People act like he has been working on this all these years, I dont really think so.

I agree. This whole thing with "Those Fuckers in the press are gonna be sorry when CD finally is released" thing is getting old. This guy wasn't saying anything bad about God Axl, he was just poking some good natured fun at the situation.

GNR is well deserving of some criticism after all the times we've been told "CD is almost done, here's the CD World Tour, oh wait, we're cancelling the rest of tour, we don't owe anyone shit, the album will happen when it happens, if it happens. It's almost done!"

probably been posted, but the review of Better in the last issue rolling stone (not that i care about their opinion) was mostly postitive. they said the different style guitar solos sounded disjointed but over all i believe the quote was something like "the most kick ass GnR song ever".

Just cause it's Axl people feel the need toi be his defence attorney.....Axl may get the last laugh but until CD is released, we'll never know Embarrassed
