If we haven't heard anything by that time, he would be an idiot not to reveal a release date or at least a damn good reason for not having one...( at this point I don't think that I would buy an reason)  If they tour again without an album, then basically I would think that it is the end. People have short memories. If he plays a few kick ass songs but they arent available, oh well, most people wont give a shit and will forget about them. He won?t play most of the songs that will/would be in the GH album (He?ll only play WTTJ, PC, SCOM and maybe NR and LALD) as a protest to the record company, and then he?ll make a rant about that.

Will say the 2002 tour was cancelled by CC without his approval.

That's why Mysteron's update makes no sense to me:

How can they be so sure of touring, but have not decided about releasing CD?!  

If GNR repeats 2002, they will get a beating from the press - even bigger than the last time.

I don't know,  In a strange way I kind of like the fact he has toured without an album. He hasn't had a "product" to sell.  It's somewhat refreshing to see.


Aslong as he realises people are as he would put it ...spending their hard earned money on trying to get to Portugal to see him and show him their support.  He should let nothing or no one stop him from being there in May.  That's all i have to say

Random, the part that gets me about the above quote you posted is this:

First of all, I don't believe it's Sanctuary's choice as to what to do with the actual release of the record, yet I'm thinking when Mysteron says "Sanctuary's choice", he's actually referring to Sanctuary's course of action as to whether or not they'll hand over the finished CD.  If so, we'll be waiting that much longer.

As for the touring, I think it's safe to say that we all agree that it would be completely assinine to tour without a NEW CD in stores, and the band would most likely be met largely by a wall of indifference and cynicism, but again, the fact remains that nothing in GNR's logical proccess is logical.

I remember an interview with Tommy stating they were working on a lot of Use your Illusion material.  Even though I'd like 90% new songs with an album to back it up, I'm looking forward to possibly hearing Estranged.  

Anyway I think Axl will announce how crazy and messed up the long road to the new GN'R's stardom has been.  Then he will go back on top where he belongs.
