Skip the Skinflute jokes and get straight to the topic.  Wink

Anyways, I've played the Ukulele for about ten months (2003-2004) and I've been playing the Electric Guitar since July 2004, which makes it 21 months to the day.

guitar for periods in the mid 90s, more seriously since 2001, so about 5 years.
drums since 2002, so 4 years. but have practised a lot more structured and seriously than on any other instrument, and I play drums in a band, so it's definately the instrument I play best.
bass, on and off for the last 5 years.
singing, since around 1997....9 years..holy shit time flies! Grin

My first instrument was a harmonica.  I got it at age 3 in 1988 and used to play with it a lot.  Sadly, I misplaced it and more than likely wouldn't be able to play anything on it now.  Some day I want a new one though.  I started with piano and keyboards in 1991, and can still play a few tunes, but I never really stuck to it.  I picked up the recorder in 1994 while at school and played for a year.  Then I got into the ukelele in 1995 and played for another year.  in 1998 I got my first guitar (classical) and learned to play.  Didn't really get serious about guitar until I got my acoustic in December 2001.  Well, I really didn't play much until the summer of 02.  I'm still not that good though.  Started singing at a young age, but never really sang seriously until 2005, but I'm still terrible.  It's all in fun though!  I love sitting around with my buddies drinking beer, playing acoustic guitars, and singing.

That's impressive ZipGunBoogie. I've always been amazed by people who can play a fretless instruments such as the violin.

I've been playing the guitar for about 4 years now. Started playing when I came from the army and had no excuse not to. I'm not that good though. I should practice more, but I usually end up widening my 'comfort zone' and playing the things that are easy for me.

Hopefully I'll have the patience to really start practicing this summer.
