Title: Need some photoshop help Post by: EFISH on January 12, 2007, 04:19:00 PM Hey all. I have an image that has a white backround and I thought was transparent, but apparently is not.
I know you can make it transparent in photoshop but I've been trying for 2 hours with no luck...... (I'm an idiot when it comes to this stuff) If someone is willing to do the deed for me, let me know and I'll send you a PM. ok locate your layers menu window... default is in the bottom right of the screen. select the layer caled background. most likely it will be locked. to edit it do the following. (http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g228/promtooters/htgh2.jpg) right lick on hat layer and got to duplicate layer. hit ok on the pop up window now select the background layer again. (http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g228/promtooters/htgh3.jpg) now right click and select delete layer... this will eliminate the orgional backround lar allowing you to edit the new layer. (http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g228/promtooters/htgh4.jpg) now with the back ground copy layer selected go to the top of this mini window and go to opacity and change this to 0% givin u a transparent background.
