After playing November Rain on SIRIUS/XM Classic Cuts the DJ reported GN'R were voted by the LA Times as  #7 in a poll ranking the top 50 LA bands..the Doors were #1 (I disagree)..If I find the results I'll post them, unless someone beats me to it.


Edit: The list it not in a particular order, just the Best 50 LA Bands. /jarmo

yeah its not exactly an accurate list.  Metallica and Megadeth were bay area bands, not LA bands.  They started out in LA but the scene was way too glam for them so they went north.

The page says the list is "in no particular order", if I'm not mistaken it's just a list they put together but they didn't rank the bands, apparently they let their readers vote.

It's a pretty cool list though, and nice to see GN'R there of course! Smiley

They list bands that were formed in the L.A. area.
