...Now I know you better...

« on: March 13, 2004, 04:43:19 AM »

Could we... all club together and pay for an ad in support of Axl in a major publication? Something like "The music press/record company/tour promoters may be treating you like shit, but we're still on your side... And could we have the album now? Pretty please?"

Just a thought, anyway.

Already been done in 2001. Axl thanked the ones responsible for the add during the concert in Vegas.

Little did we know it would be 3 years and still no album.

I know - it was reading about that that made me think it might be a good idea to do something similar now...

Yeah that's cool.... We'll rent a ?Goodyear blimp float?, letting it hover above his place one entire night. Just like in Scarface, with: "The World is Yours".  Tongue

This thread couldn't possibly be serious, could it?  Pay your own hard-earned cash to pay for a meaningless newspaper ad supporting a musician who cancels tours without explanation, leaves his fans in the dark, and has a phobia of releasing new music?  For fuck's sake...there are so many better uses for money than something like that.
