Post by: GNR4L on March 22, 2008, 02:57:46 PM
I just want a standard black guitar strap that can adjust real low ( I hate straps that are to high looks like the beatles playing) if anyone could help that would be great I got a epiphone gibson black beauty.

I have a Epi LP Custom, great guitars 8)

Anyways, I have four guitars and two straps and both I use a shoe lacet (spelling?) which covers the last 10 centimetres orso, really works well. I'm a tall guy and I hate playing with a high hung guitar, my arm will literally fall asleep then :P So I started using those shoe lacets years ago cause I couldn't find long straps anywhere. And it works well, I just tie them with a simple knot to the bottum of the guitar, I folded the lacets double so it's double lined. Also when it's really tight they don't let loose very easily, sometimes I change the strap to another guitar and it'll take me ten minutes just to get the knot out.

The standard ERNIE BALL strap can be adjusted pretty low. Good quality also. Check it out.

just any strap should do, i'm 6 ft 3 and i play with just a fender strap that came with my squier strat.  Never seems to fall off.  And it can be slung nice and low (ala slash in november rain), regular or right up high.

Exactly! ;D

Only I got my wire on the bottom, not on the neck
