Title: A new Soundgarden album??
Post by: jameslofton29 on October 10, 2005, 07:29:47 AM
Is it possible? My aunt was at her friend's house last night, and when she called me, she said she heard a new Soundgarden album while she was there. I told her it was impossible since they've been broke up for 7 or 8 years. I figured that she heard their last album that didn't get as much airplay, but she swears it was new songs. Does Soundgarden have a demos or rarities album out that I have never heard of?

Hater released a new album a while back.

It's Ben and Matt from Soundgarden...

Matt's been busy with Pearl Jam lately and Chris is busy with Audioslave....

Jarmo, have you heard that album from Hater? I never even heard of it. I'm gonna have to check it out. Does Ben do vocals? I loved his songs 'Half' and 'Head Down' on the Superunkown album.

Haven't heard it.

"Shepherd attempts a number of different vocal styles over the course of The 2nd, but they all come off as either contrived or incredibly, powerfully annoying."

I think he sings on it....

As Jarmo already stated, the members did a lot of sidework and other projects, so maybe your aunt heard some of that material, and not Soundgarden.

Check out this website for more info on the band:
