I have 4 currently, will post pics in the next day or so, had them when I was 17/18/19 im 33 now and they still look pretty colourful although obviously not as vibrant as the day I was inked.

My advice upon experience would be to consider black only tats, least if they fade its alot easier to have them 'touched' up in the future. Another tip would be DONT pick the scabs when the tat is healing... You can pretty much take all the colour off.

I am currently having a new one designed, I checked my family surname history which dates back to the doomsday book of 1066. Basically my surname had a coat of arms and latin motto. I am having the latin motto on either my shoulder blades or the inside of my forearm. For anyone interested the motto reads; je te prie garde ma vie which translated means, lord i beseech thee save my life....

I am thinking of getting a GnR quote somewhere, maybe my wrist or foot, maybe 'this melody inside of me still searches for solution' but I can't decide if thats lame or not. I also like the new GnR logo on all the Europe posters, but I don't know if I could get something that obvious.

if you question getting it, then dont get it.  Axl said once that he thinks about his tattoos for a year.  After a year, if he still wants it, he gets it.  Think about what you want, and do your research. Find an artist you like and trust, and see what you guys come up with together.
     I generally dont like logo tats because you run the risk of people having the same tat.  The quote thing is cool, though.  I want to get "This fire is burning and its outta control, its not a problem you can stop, its Rock and Roll"

This is a funny topic- Although Im relative new here (I was mostly only reading in this forum, but didnt post ), it was interesting to read and see your tatoos (There are some great there), cause they say so much about a person.
Oh yes, I have lots of tatoos; I did some of them myself (with black ink and a selfmade motor- later it became more professional with professional machines)- and so some of them look like that (The black ink becomes more and more blue...)- but it is ok- cause that are marks of my life- like a big map of my life and personality.

Ok let me see:
On the left arm: an alien looking outside of a window, looking into a sky of eyes and saying "Where am I?" (coloured)
on the right arm: A black tribal lizzard, crawling onto my ellbow
On the leg: a  couloured dragon with ying-yang
at the toes.I had the name of my ex-boyfriend, but now I have there a teardrop
and the biggest piece- on the back: a coloured mask of an guardian-demon- a Gargoyle - with a crown of diamonds
