Wayne left the band after their first 2 albums and came back in 1999 for the Masterpeace album, which was a disappointment. Their latest album, the Weight of the World, is much better and has a good new singer.

His side project was called David Wayne's Metal Church, but he was really outside of the band. I am only a hardcore fan of his work on the first 2 Metal Church albums, but it's sad to see him go so young.

Metal Church were one of the first thrash bands, but they later moved away from the thrash sound. Lars was a member of Metal Church for a while, but he got kicked out because he wasn't talented enough, so he had to make Metallica instead.  hihi

My favorite Metal Church album is actually the third one, Blessing in Disguise. They lost a lot of fans with the new singer for that album, but I think it's an awesome, underrated gem. The first 2 are considered the best by most fans, though.

I would listen to the albums in order if you're a new fan of them.

Yes, I do enjoy my fair share of thrash. Smiley I enjoy thrash metal, death metal, and traditional heavy metal the best, but I do listen to black metal and power metal sometimes.

Bump. I expected more people to at least say "appeciated" or "RIP" in this thread. People here ought to have more respect for this man.  Angry
