Yeah, I'm at the top of Kent, and I swear the heat nearly killed me!  Shocked I hate it when it gets this hot, I don't deal with it very well. There wasn't even a decent breeze to cool me down.

Are people dying like they were in France a year or two back?

Same here in France, it's awfully hot! Shocked
They said it's gonna get better next week, I don't think people are dying yet here...and people haven't learned the lesson and still haven't installed A.C in their home Grin.

That's one thing I miss from MS. Grin

I know it's expensive, but if you don't have a lot of money, you don't have to get the full system for your apartment/ house. You could buy a portable thing you could carry around the house. Those are not too expensive and it'd help a lot. Smiley

If you're pregnant, please do something about the A.C situation, especially if the summer is hot again this year in France. Or spend a couple months in Alaska or something. Wink

Just curious...how hot is it over there?  I'm trying to get a perspective.  Where I live in California, it routinely gets over 100 degrees, but everything is air conditioned so we deal with it pretty well.

Well, in europe, air conditionning is not compulsery and most places are so old that installing air conditionning would cost a FORTUNE.

In modern houses, it still costs a lot and not every odd joe blob can buy it.

When you rent, it's not even worth thinking about installing it as it will be from your pocket only and ruin you for years to come.

SO, a normal month of May is about 16 and 28 degrees celsius in france ( from north to south) or between 14 and 25 in great britain ( from scotland to dover).

We are not even in june and it's already 32 degrees celsius in northern france and in london.

This means an average of 7 degrees ABOVE the norm for that time of year.

It's also very dry, electric like, no wind or air and when it's like this, the pollution toxicity rises to records and people die.

Wow! I spoke to some friends in Germany tonight and they said it was in the 30's (c)!

Great weather for the weekend guys!

Here in Sydney it's around 20c during the warmest part of the day just about to head into winter.
