I just heard the song from the Wembley show and oh my god, Axl's vocals are so beautiful. He sounds so good. One of the best covers I have ever heard. It's so good. Really check it out. I don't think his vocals are that spot on, they go abit too high in some spots imo.
But the music is great, they should replace Live and Let Die or KOHD with somethink like this.

it`s amazing how axl`s voice sucked for the better part of the last 15 years and is now back spot on i mean his voice wasn`t bad at all in 91/92, but he fucked it up a lot. in late 93 he just sucked.... in 01 he was great imo, but he lacked the rasp in 02... now he`s the man again i love his high voice combined with the rasp when it`s needed. who`s playing the solo in sailing by the way? finck? |

It's funny, us GnR fans think this bootleg is like the best! when i posted a link to the track on a non GnR board afew download the track, they knewof Guns n'Roses and were interested to here the Rod Stewart cover. The replies were: Here goes. Cant see this being great though.  That was fucking terrible; not Axl but everybody around you (the background noise) Why can't people just STFU and listen? I thought Sailing was great, Axl sounded great with the notes as well as the rest of the band....shame in the beginning all you hear is people complaining about what they are choosing to play. Someone specifically saying when it starts "I can't believe they are playing this shit"
I wonder if we will ever hear some of these newer played covers actually recorded since GNR is known to cover songs on their albums...

Sounds fuckin' great, Axl can make any song his own, he always lends his own style perfectly to any song. I love it when he covers songs cos he always does such a great job. People complaining at the start of the song are just a bunch of twats. I'm sure after the first few bars Axl sang they shut up fairly smartly, Axl has a unique and magnificent voice. Its worth listening to any song if he's singing it to see what he can do! Hope they do record it in the studio so we don't have to listen to the muppets mumbling at the start.
